    Some notes:

~Sorry, don't know how many threads are already on the potential 53...  Any way ya look at it, this cut-down for NE this year, is just gonna be brutal.

Not as if I have any better alternative, but uggh, I don't like the WR one, for starters:  Brandon Tate & Buddy Farnham...  Tate, really has had just 1 season, and say what'cha want RE: his wideout potential, the fact remains, He really does look, act, and play the part of an excellent KR specialist (although I hear returning kicks has now been outlawed).  Farnham, in terms of some niceness he's already showed in these 2 preseason games, along with practice...That's another tough cut.  ANY of these are just hard, especially considering, even IF they're not as good as some other Pats 53 roster guys at a spot, these 2, Are just TOO good not to be scooped up off our Practice Team, to play elsewhere...plain & simple, we just lose them.

The obvious 1 being The D-Line...  Man.  Gerrard Warren has looked soo nice thus far... But do ya just hedge your bets, and play the long-term future benefits, by simply cutting a guy that's looked simply great at times, and decide to cut him considering his NFL age?  Do ya cut-down...or even CAN you dare cut-down 1 more CB spot, from 5 to 4???  What about 6'5 315lb Kade Weston, who was Ir'd last year early in offseason camp 2010?  I actually REALLY liked him as a late rd smart draft pick last year ("can't teach size").  Good reports from him in last season's camp, and even better reports from his skills THIS offseason practices, thus far...  Daryl Richard as well...Do ya take him over Kyle Love...  That D-Line cutdown is just- idk- some nicely skilled guys WILL be lost for good.

Looks about right, some tough cuts will be made.  I would like G. Warren to stay but I'm not sure who they could lose, maybe Pryor but with Warren's age he would probably be the guy, unless someone gets injured.

    G. Warren looked pretty good tonight, that would be a hard cut IMO.

Warren did well last year....and looked great tonite.

If I had to make a choice right now, I would cut Mike Wright instead.

We just don't know how healthy M Wright is going to be.

I agree. Wright has finished three of his NFL seasons on IR, and missed a full year of college with a knee injury. Despite his interior rushing skills, I would prefer it if his spot were given to someone who is healthy now and doesn't have the laundry list of injuries.

Kade Weston was on the injured list last year, but as far as I know, he only missed two games due to injury throughout his college career. I like his size and what I've read from the spring training practice reports on him. I'd be happy if he secured a spot on the 53-man.

I feel similarly about Edelman and Wright, btw, although I think Edelman should be given more time because he has had less time in the league and it's hard to tell if he's fragile or it's bad luck. I'm just not sure Julian is ever going to be able to stay on the field and worry about saving a space on the roster for him.
