Bernard Pollard ruins another Patriots season

Can we sign this guy and put him on IR for the rest of his career?

He single-handedly ruined three Patriots seasons: 2008, 2009, and 2011. Basically every season that we played him.

He blew out Tom Brady's knee in 2008. The entire league was pretty weak that year and we still had the core of a 16-0 team. We very well could've been Super Bowl favorites that season.

He was in on the play where Wes Welker blew out his knee in 2009, right before the playoffs. We were severely handicapped without Wes. Baltimore took advantage and crushed our Super Bowl hopes.

This season, we play him in the AFC Championship game and he injures Gronk's ankle and basically costs us the Super Bowl. Gronk was severely limited today, and based on how this game played out, a healthy Gronk would've almost guaranteed us a Lombardi. We were missing our biggest component on offense and it showed.

Bernard Pollard. Public enemy #1 in New England. Seriously Pollard, go f@$% yourself.

Sorry, Patriots have no one else to blame but themselves. When you play in the game of your life you need to play your best for all 60 minutes and that was not the case in this game. I would suspect that a lot of soul searching has already begun but I weigh this loss heavily on the backs of the play calling which was marginal at best and not very creative. The defense knew what was coming at the end but failed to step up and shut them down. The Patriots have seemed not to learn anything from the previous 2 losses to the Giants...

Is it too much to hope for him to be hit by a truck in the offseason?

Definitely agree that the injury to Gronk was a factor in this game.   Although, Brady didn't have a great game and the missed catch by Welker was a big factor.

Would you be saying this if Brady were injured?

A big part of winning and losing in the NFL is based on talent. When our most talented player on offense is playing on one ankle, it's a huge part of why we lost the game.

    It's not an excuse, it's a reason.
