"Health/Timing Keys: With the return to health for both Danny Amendola and more importantly Rob Gronkowski, the timing, so important in the Patriots passing offense was on full display Sunday, giving a glimpse of how potent this unit can be when clicking on all cylinders.
The timing, play-calling and route running was much sharper on Sunday. But Brady more than everyone was focused, making correct decisions and used his head to beat the Steelers."
I guess Im not the only one noticing a marked change.... QB executed the position brilliantly.
In other words, What if Brady overthrew Amendola like in previous weeks...? Or what if during Jets game in OT he dropped in that 3rd down throw to Edelman instead of chucking it out of bounds. There is ALWAYS room for better QB performance that will MAKE EVERY DIFFERENCE in the outcome of a play.
LIke in golf if you are a great putter, you can change the outcome of your score. And turn 3 mediocre shots into a par , then shoot 72.
QB is the difference maker in football, Simple.
I am very sorry this is so hard for you to understand.
This is not golf where what is accomplished is how well one person performs.
It is one guy throwing to a moving target where timing is important and every single player has to work in unison in order for there to be success. There is also a DEFENSE, trying to disrupt that timing.l
What is different in this game is the moving targets changed.
There are now 3 vets and 1 rookie, as apposed to 3 rookies and 1 vet.
QBR depends on players making catches and scoring. Picks are more often than not, receiver errors. Drops are more often than not, receiver errors, incompletions too.
Sure the QB matters but QB's always make bad throws, occasionally, throw the ball away because no one is open, occasionally.
When you have 3 receivers catching 40% of their passes and others catching 70%, it is not likely that Tom just throws poorly to the bottom receivers. and great to the Vets. It's that the vets are better, DUH! Brady is more focused because he can now just worry about the D and not have to wonder where his receivers are. He already knows where they are, because they know where they are or where they are supposed to be.
Ugh. Tom did not lose his timing overnight. Timing involves everyone
Tom DID lose his receivers, overnight. VERY SCARY!!!
Tom also went from 3 rookies and 1 vet to 3 vets and 1 rookie.
3 vets who understand are much better than 3 rookies who do not.
Give it a rest, will ya? He was off before this game, it's not a shot at his greatness to admit it. Tom Brady is human, he's not going to be perfect every game. He played like Brady on Sunday, no need to keep denying facts.
Well maybe you haters should give it a rest, Huh?
No one ever said he was perfect. No one ever said there weren't times when he was off.
Does that play work if he's starring off Gronk and instead throws to The stooges?
Maybe but the odds are not good, and that's what he has been dealing with up to this point.
But you'd have to be either a total idiot or troll to see the difference is the personnel.
The catch rate is better when you have receivers that can catch consistently. Gronk 9/10.
The catch rate is improved when they run the correct routes.
The catch rate improves when they are not dropping passes at alarming rates.
The catches are going to improve when you play with the guys you practice with.
Try going into a game where your #3 becomes your #1 and your #4 becomes your #2 and your # 5 becomes your #3.......ALL at once. UGH
The QB is going to improve when he doesn't have to worry about ALL OF THE ABOVE!
Did you see the other day on CBS where they compared TB to a conductor of an orchestra?
He sets the tone, he tells everybody how long to hold and when to enter.
Now, I'm no expert on orchestras but there is one thing I do know. The conductor can't play the instruments for them.
Some trolls expect him to, and that's just plain dumb.
