I'm waiting to see how tall Johnny Football is and what he weighs in at. Is Bridgewater as thin as they say.

If these 2 fall it will change the first rd up a bit.

Do you really think that this QBs, who are still growing into their bodies, coming in 10-15 lbs lighter than they need to be will be a big enough issue for the QB-needy teams (HOU, JAX, CLE, TBB, MIN), that they'd be willing to wait til round 2 to pick their QB for the future?

If Johnny Football comes in less than 6 feet and under 200 lbs he's out of the top 10 IMHO. Bridgewater has as many critics as fans and his measurables better stack up or he falls as well.

I always love the shuttle and cone drills. 40 is nice but really doesn't show you how well they move. Don't forget we had some great 40 time guys who plan and simple couldn't come out of a break. Besides Amaro should be a 4.6 guy but on the field he was out pacing LB's who are suppose to have the same speed.

Though watch their 10 and 20 times. That's more important then actual 40. How long does it take for them to get up to speed and how explosive are they from the start. This is what causes seperation not a flat 40

    1) QBs do not fall down a few spots. It is not the kind of position where teams just opt to skip picking their guy becasue it's a reach by a few picks, and wait 'til the next round to pick whomever else is available. When teams get a chance to pick the QB with skill sets they want, they go for it, because the same skill set will not be available in the next round.

    2) Wilson is 5'11, 206. He just won the SB. He showed the advantage of a good throwing QB, who can extend plays with his legs and on occasion getting long yards. You don't think people will be focusing more now on the skills that made Wilson successful and whether Manziel can bring the same to the table? Frankly, I don't know if Manziel is a smarter QB on the field than Wilson, but practically everything else that Wilson does well, IMO Manziel does better.

Wilson was a 3rd round pick. Johnny Football will not break 6 feet nor 200 lbs. Jadeveon Clowney is the true # 1 pick in this draft. Once Houston sees him at the combine they will make it official. They then give the Pats their 3rd rd pick for Mallett, in a true no risk deal, and still have all their other picks to have a really strong draft.

Houston will just check off the boxes on Jadeveon Clowneyat the combine but they would be crazy to pass on him.

    Re: Combine interests

From what I hear Manziel is just under 6' but is over 200lbs.  Playing in the SEC helps.  Bridgewater's height and weight have not come into question yet.  There is some talk of his throwing mechanics and some durability issues from taking a pounding from time to time.  Called a Wilson with height.  Blake Bortles out of UCF is getting a lot of notice.  Derek Carr had a good Senior Bowl.  Supposedly needs to work on dumping some bad habits and even though he's not ranked with the other three he impressed.

Interested in the TE's for the combine.  I'm going to see what Marcel Jensen is about.  I'm going to look at the safties too.
It would be a big mistake if they passed on either of these two QB's with the hope that they would still be on the board in round 2.
Yup and when Bill O'Brien offers his second round pick to BB he'll trade Mallett provided he throws in a 5th round pick to go along with his second round pick, sorry you guys are under valuing Mallett.

    Re: Combine interests

All TE's who are invited to the combine. Then every receiver who is at least 6'2" and weighs at least 205. Any DB over 5'11" who can actually defend someone, DT's who can bench 225 more than 30 times, and can run a 4.7 - 4.9 40. Since they don't show any hitting watching the SS won't be worth much, see who benches the most and 40 times. Amaro, Ebron,ASJ, and Niklas.

D'Quan Jones, Tuitt, and NixIII and Hageman. Strength is important but the short shuttles will tell how good they will be.

Coleman is the WR I really want to see, we all know that Rutgers is still on the mind of BB.
