I think u are looking for too much.  6th and 7th or 2  7ths maybe if we are lucky, even that might be a stretch

    Re: Compensation picks 2010

Not sure, but it's fun just thinking about the players we can add with the selections we already have:

    1st Round
    2nd Round
    2nd Round (Titans)
    2nd Round (Jaguars)
    4th Round
    6th Round
7th Round (PHI - Greg Lewis)

These picks have been traded away:

3rd Round (OAK - Derrick Burgess)
5th Round (OAK - Derrick Burgess, Thru DEN - Le Kevin Smith)
5th Round (TB - Alex Smith)
7th Round (Den - Le Kevin Smith)

Let's hope next years draft ends up as promising as this one has.

    Re: Compensation picks 2010

I remember it being tied to the players hired away minus the free agents brought in.  BB brought in something like 11 free agents.

The way the Patriots' front office often works compensatory picks is that they load up on free agents one year, lose a lot the next, load up again, lose people again.  The NFL awards nothing for being steady year after year, but they award picks for this up and down behavior after the down years and don't take anything away in the up years.

You can pull the same overloading trick on your income taxes by donating to your church (or whatever) heavily on January 2 of one year and on December 30 of that same year, then donating nothing for the next 368 days.
