Could be a fun couple of weeks for the jets

From Nick Adamo's - A big NY sports fan

CB Lito Sheppard will not play this week vs the Raiders and DE shaun Ellis is Questionable. So a weakened Jets defense might not be able to hold the Raiders running game that includes Darren Mcfadden, Michael Bush and Justin Fargas.

After the Raiders they will face the Dolphins and after a bye week the Jaguars. The Dolphins who used the wildcat to beat the Jets just a week ago should run all over the Jets using Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams extensively.

I will look forward to the Jets games each week till they come see us

They´re gonna beat the Raiders and Lose to the Dolphins. 1-3 (divisional record) that´s great for the Pats...

Jets are going to beat both the Raiders and Dolphins. They are going to stay close to the Pats.

I really think they will lose to both the Raiders and the Dolphins.  if they have a 5 game losing streak their season is done

i think they can get one win out of these 2, either way should be decent games, neither team is a walk over. it seems like all 3 teams are pretty similiar in their issues. offenses being run by young QBs and decent defenses.

Pretty much the definition of the pot calling the kettle black,  but what else could you expect from a dope like Leon.  You talk about obsession when you are on a Boston website everyday.  Take a look in the mirror moron.

We are just enjoying watching the Jets high hopes go up in a flaming wreck.  Sanchez looked pretty good last week though.

All of the talking the Jets did will come back to haunt them big time. People are really going to be crying about running up the score after that one. Brady is going to put on an air show that game for all the trash that they talked in week 2. They knew he wasn't 100 percent and ran their mouths, now BB is going to run the score up on them like there is no tomorrow. After how they acted to the Pats in New York, people won't be able to say anything about running it up on a beaten opponent. Our main AFC East competition is the Dolphins. The Jets might finish behind the Bills. At least they have those week 2 Super Bowl rings.

I call that the NY inferiority complex. Leon is a prime example of that. New york has been sitting there while Boston has been racking up the titles this decade and have really developed a creepy obsession with Boston. Go to the opposition site and you will see the comments section littered with NY trolls thumping their chest because the Yanks are in the World Series. The funny part is, when Philly beats them they will disappear again. NY can't get Boston off of the brain, there team wins, they come to the Boston sites. Is it me or is that backwards?

How long will it be before Rex Ryan takes a swing at his offensive coordinator, if the offense can't get it going?  Just like his old man did some years ago?  Wait for it boys, it's coming!!!

Darren mcfadden is out for the raiders - just had surgery. Fargas and Bush are pathetic runners. Did you see Richard Seymour predicting the raiders going to the playoffs? HA. Jets will win both games.

Prediction based solely on Sanchez's inability to perform in the cold.

They'll beat the Raiders because the weather will be 75 and sunny in Oakland this Sunday then lose to the Fins at home if it's crappy in Jersey.

And if you're wondering where Leon/bugboy has been hiding just look on the Sox boards where he's got a half dozen personae going at the same time. Anyone know where I can pick up a Phillies hat in upstate NY?

If your truly not questioning them then you should be.  You have a chance of beating Oak but you guys will get smoked in Miami.  Fake field goal in overtime. Hahahaha.  That is great.

I sincerely hope the Patriots stay mad about the Jests loss, and even more about the ridiculously over the top bravado before the game.

I would truly love to see the Patriots run the score into the 60-70's on them

Wait, why does it matter?  Didnt they win their Superbowl in week 2?  Isn't that what I heard? Soooo after the Superbowl is... The Pro Bowl!  And we all know, you just kick back and phone it in for the Pro Bowl!  I say they lose both games.  This is the city that fell in love with the "Mangenious".  The sharks are eating each other now, the coach threw a rookie in there, and acts like its suprising that he is thowing INTs.  THAT is bad coaching, and he seems like just threw the guy to the media wolves after that.  Not a good way to build the guy up in his first season.  He will probably play conservative run oriented game plans now, and that will doom them.  GREAT!

Nothing like the NY media proping up athletes and coaches like Sanchez and Ryan then tearing them down once there's a little turbulence. Well in this case it's more than turbulence. Injuries mounting to there defense and a rookie QB = bad bad times ahead.

They will lose both games. They couldn't stop the Wildcat before why would they be able to stop it 2 weeks from now. Seymour loves eatin Jets for Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner. Seymour's prediction won't come true but the man get's up for Jets games and will again. Bet!

    Dang!

"New York Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery(notes) will not play against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, missing his second straight game with an injured left hamstring.

Coach Rex Ryan said Friday that wide receiver Brad Smith(notes) and cornerback Lito Sheppard(notes), both nursing quadriceps injuries, also will not play."

It just gets better every day!
In Response to Re: Could be a fun couple of weeks for the jets : What's amazing to me-and you would really see it if you spent even one day listenin gto NY radio-is how the Jets are always the "story". Last year it was "Favre Farve Farve" and this year it's "Rex Rex Rex"... The Giants, by comparison, are almost overlooked. Which is fine, that's better than all press and nothing to show for it. Still, it gets a bit insulting. G-Men win the SB and all we get is Jets, G-Men go 12-4 and all we get is Jets. As long as Giants get their press for on the field accomplishments it's fine with us Jints fans, but it does get a bit annoying!
    Posted by JintsFan
Well, no one cares about the Giants here. I am not surprised no one cares about them in New Jersey, either.

BTW, haven't you realized that the Giants actually stink? They are just like the Cowboys except they have played more bad teams. Same story - beat the team with no wins, lose to the team that can actually play.

It's more likely that the Jets will in the midst of a 6 game losing streak when they face the Pats. I'm just being realistic. Losing Kris Jenkins was a huge blow to your defense. The 3-4 NT is the 2nd most important position on your D. Only Bart Scott ILB is more important to you. You could lose Revis and still be okay, because you generate so much pressure from your front 7. The NT pushes the pocket and commands a double team on every play!! Jenkins made the crazy blitzes possible for the Jets.
