I'm sure this is as much of a "retirement" as Tim McCarver's when he wasn't renewed at Fox.

    DD was awful.

Any replacement should be an upgrade.

Thank god!  No more slurping and lisping all over the mic like a chatty Cathy doll on a loop.

Ugh.  He's overly dramatic color commentary was so annoying. He became the most annoying one doing games in the NFL. Not even close.

Now only if Cris Collinsneck would step down.

they don't know how to mix in the blatant NFL promotion with color commentary. The whole game is one big advertisement. I don't know who feeds them the tidbits, but a lot of planning goes into it.

So glad this moron is retiring, he may be my least favorite "broadcaster". See you later Dierdorf.

Thank god, won't have to listen to his gushing man-love for Peyton Manning anymore.

Now if Collinsworth can just take his Aaron Rodgers fetish elsewhere.

lol...I am hoping for bob costas next. I am sick at looking at his plastic surgery enhanced face and listening to talk about nothing while trying to sound like he knows what he's talking about.

He's not current but Rob Ford should be available soon and would be a great addition to any booth. The entertainment value alone is worth it.

Plus he has vast football experience and knowledge.

Anyone who thinks Nantz or Costas are going anywhere for 15+ years is naive.  They are featured #1 guys.

    I like Collinsworth in Football.

Yeah...I can hear him now talking about the time he and L. Taylor scored some great rock and a couple of underage hookers before the SB one year... :)... He'd talk about how they had plenty to "eat"

Well at least at home anyway.
