But Oswald did not get his job in the TSBD from the mob or the CIA.
I'm sure the CIA would have absolutely no way of influencing a public institution to hire somebody for a petty job.
But, but, but, Ruth Paine, friend of Marina told him about the job opening at the TSBD.  Why wouldn't the mob/CIA just set him up there instead of having a citizen pass along this useful information.   Of course, he had no way of knowing at that time that JFK was even coming to Dallas.

Was Ruth Paine on the grassy knoll?   Was she a member of the Marcello mob too?

Actually, Jack Ruby died from a pulmonary embolism, while suffering from lung cancer.

Such a deadly condition can be "caused by the embolization of air, fat, or talc in drugs of intravenous drug abusers".

Not a big stretch to think that Ruby got the sleepy-time injection to finish him off.

So, you don't believe the corroborated account of how LHO came to apply for the job?  Wow.

I'm surprised you haven't brought up the fact that Ruby and Oswald's neighbor, 3 doors away used the same dry cleaner.  That's some coincidence.

Interesting comment on the cold-blooded murder of the President of the United States; particularly so coming from someone who has repeatedly postioned himself on this board as someone who abhors violence.  Interesting word that: psychopath.

Whatever.  Lots of people are murdered every day.  I'm sick of the rich and powerful glorifying themselves.

We are talking about the assassination of the president of the United States!  Where do you come off thinking this is a "rich and powerful" glorifying themsleves?  Where does that even enter into this equation?  You have issues if your comments are in this vein.

Ok, so this discussion, sort of, got off track about my original intent for posting it.  That being what memories any of you who post here have of that day if you were around at that time.

The subsequent discussions of conspiracy theories about JFK's death is intriguing and may never come to a popular conclusion.  With that said, any more memories out there?  This string has been occupied by only a few and I know there are a heck of a lot more Pats fans out there who were around on 11/22/63!

Again, where were you and what memories do you have of that day in history, 11/22/1963?

They're out there, there's 9/11 was an inside job, the Moon landing was filmed in a TV studio, FEMA concentration camps with millions of plastic caskets all ready, chemtrails, HAARP. Stuff like that.

But JFK is the only assassination that has any real appeal. No film of Lincoln getting shot and McKinley and Garfield, who cares.

Frankly I think there's more to the RFK killing than JFK. For example, Sirhan's gun held eight rounds and he never had time to reload. But a tape recording indicated there were thirteen shots in about five seconds which is impossible with the gun he used. The fatal shot was fired from an inch away and in back of Kennedy according to the coroner, but Sirhan was not that close and he was in front. Other inconsistencies like that. His lawyers never mounted a defense because they went all in on insanity. But he wasn't president, so it's not as interesting I guess?

Sure they're out there. Some with disturbing questions like 9/11 to some that seem rather silly to question at all, like the moon landings. But nothing leaves as many aspects that make you scratch your head and say what the hell is up with that like the JFK assassination.

9/11 as an inside job is whackjobs on the interwebs with too much time on their hands. We can go back to Julius Caesar and Shakespeare with the fall of a leader and conspiracies to do so.

9/11 is another story.  Anyone who thinks terrorists cuckoos hijacking planes to promote some anti-Bush pro war theory, is a moron.  Terrorism is terrorism and we know their motives.

It's simply impossibly to ignore the roots of the mob ties to the Kennedys, especially with the Cuba situation.

Kennedy wasn't relenting on Cuba.  Casino business would have been a massive boon especially for the mob leaders in the South. Wheter Cuban officials were in on it or not, who knows, but the mob presence is hard to ignore.

Marcello all but admitted his involvement before his death.

IN 1963, only weeks after JFK was killed, the FBI questioned 14 Marcello mob associates. Yet the godfather’s name doesn’t even appear in the Warren Report. This secrecy, it seems, was all because of Cuba. (And that info is contained in Waldron’s first incredible book, “Ultimate Sacrifice.”)
