    Good points, Kyle,

Would rather see him with Buffalo than the Raiders; Buffalo has got too many problems to fix. Though the Raiders won't be a playoff team, McNabb would account for 2-3 wins over the season versus Russell. Those wins could have the effect of picking a half dozen slots lower in the first round.

Exactly my point - Oakland won 5 games last year (notable wins against the Steelers, Bengals, Eagles, and Broncos)

In 6 games that they lost last year they averaged 5.33 points a game. barely 2 field goals a game. Adding a player like McNabb to Oaklands offense would certainly help the Raiders score more points than 5.33 a game.

In Response to Donovan McNabb's impact on the Patriots:
Trade talks are heating up in Eagles camp about potentially trading Donovan McNabb to either the Bills or the Raiders. Both teams would have a direct impact on the Patriots 2010-2011 season. McNabb is owed over 6 million if hes on the Eagles roster come May. Trade seems inevitable. Landing in Oakland - our 2011 1st round draft pick could take a fall with an established QB under center instead of Jamarcus Russel. With Russel we are almost gauranteed a top 10 pick. Oakland plays in a weak division with Chiefs and Broncos trying to find their identity. McNabb as much as hes struggled in the past hes still alot better than Oaklands options. Landing in Buffalo - The Patriots play Buffalo in two games each year. With stiff competition in NY and the Fins on an identity crisis, Buffalo could become more of a factor with McNabb under center. Buffalo has a solid, not great defense. Addressing their QB situation with McNabb they could focus immediately on the OL in the draft.  Food for thought....

Since I was hungry this morning I ate the food that was offered, and here's what my response was, McNabb isn't going to the Raiders and even if he did he could only help a little bit,if he goes to Buffalo who is he going to throw the ball to? They have a nice running game but the O-line stinks and it needs a LT so that won't happen if you have too trade your first round pick to Philly to get a QB,of all the scenario's that might happen is he might (highly unlikely)get shipped off to ST.Louis..So much for the free meal.

if he ends up on the raydas, it won't matter. they have a pretty crappy offense.

it doesnt matter, we dont want a top 5 pick and most likely if we get the raiders in the top 10 we will trade down  , unless things change you have ot be crazy to lay out the cash for this unproven talent pool, something BB will not and does not do.

Re: Donovan McNabb's impact on the Patriots

ESPNnetBoy3 - You do realize that in 2011 - the NFL is taking away their pay bracket for NFL rookies. thus granting total control to the TEAMS and not the rookies. That is the sole reason why soooo many underclass man elected to enter in 2010 this year. They will get a ton more money than in 2011. In 2011 a top 5 pick will not be expensive at all. more like the price of a mid second round pick in 2010. That is the reason why the patriots traded into 2011 and NOT 2010 with the raiders. So it wouldnt make any sense at all if the partiots traded their top 5 pick.

Mike and Mike thinks that McNabb should go to Minnesota per espn radio this a.m.

Sorta makes sense, but only if Farve decides to retire (again).

and Schefter thinks the 49ers should get him....

If farve doesnt come back to the Vikings. Id expect the Vikings going after McNabb - makes sense. Also if that doesnt work then they should take the NYJets route of 2009 and trade into the top 5 to grab Jimmy Clausen.

good thread.....oakland would hurt but only for the draft pick. buffalo would affect us twice a year, only if he resigns, which hes unliekly to do after this year.

would rather see him goto buffalo, but odds are he ends up in oakland. he has no wr to throw to though. maybe they bring in t.o.?

That would make perfect sense but you know overrated prima-donna is going to drag the whole thing out till august and change his mind a half-dozen times between now and then.

him going to raiders would not necessarily fix thier problems...unless they are playing the same offense as philly...they are not very good and with him they wont be that much better....

Here is McNabb's impact on the Patriots-  He more or less HANDED us a Superbowl.  Thats as much as he will affect anything.  He is not that good.  When he could run he was a threat, as a passer, for me, he is not great, tends to sail alot of balls.  The Davisettes won't be much better with him, and the Torontalo Bills will be crappy no matter what.
