Bodden and Springs bring a facet to the Pats defense that hasn't existed since Ty Law. Samuel, who is a great corner by the standards of the media(interceptions), but far from great overall. Didn't matter that the only tackle he ever made within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage was Ricky Williams(at least it was a crushing one). Hobbs can't cover or tackle. Gay was a better cover guy than he was given credit for but didn't tackle well. Springs and Bodden really improve Pats defense by being able to crash in and play a part against the run. Basically amounts to having 2 more players on the field on running plays
