    GO GET SEYMOUR...

Okay, I know that big93 has said he would never play for the Pats again -- and maybe a bit of a grudge exists??  Maybe BB has burned a bridge or visa-versa??  However, whenever conflict can be overcome (in any arena of life) great things can happen.  Seymour has something left in the tank - though nothing more to prove (but one would have to believe would be motivated by a Pats redux).  Why not eat a little crow and approach him (with Kelly out, Mayo and Wilfork... and hopefully not Nink) how are we going to beat the Broncos - when it matters or the Bengals or Chiefs, perhaps - to get to the SB) and the Seahawks, 49ers or whoever to win the SB???)

This year's Pats team has a bit of a dark horse look to them.  If they continue to win more than they lose - no team is going to want to face them in January (imagine a presence like Seymour??)

By the way, I'm Canadian and well familiar with Armstead: too bad he's not ready.  I'm telling ya, he's the real deal.  He's way too talented for the CFL.  A real diamond in the rough.

Agree about the wait and see point on Armstead. Seymour? A picture is worth 1000 words.

He's probably the only player sitting at home right now who could really help us and he'll never come back... years from now when he is being inducted into the Patriot's Hall Of Fame in Patriot's Place there may be some regret.

I don't think his beef is with the fans, but with the guy upstairs. But yeah, it will make it wierd if NE ends up being "a player away," and the fans are left to reflect on the kind of pride on all sides that leads to an obivous fit not coming together.

If he has so much "left in the tank", how come no one has offered him a contract?

Don't fans voting have a lot to say about that?  Does he get in?

Many of you just don't get it. Seymour was summarily dismissed for a good reason; because he sucks (and I'm not talking about his playing.).

I thought Law acted poorly but at least he wasn't shy about announcing what he wanted later in his career.

    [/QUOTE]

Law was cut. Seymour held out. No comparison.

If Seymour is so good to us Pat fans (if he were to come here), the point made by cyncal is a good one.  If he does have anything left, he would be on a team right now.  But, others point out that he has some dillusional self worth attitude that he still deserves pro bowl $$$$.  Talk about cutting off your nose !

LAw was cut because BB did not want to give him a new deal/extension based on his demands.

Seymour was dealt, which is nothing more than being cut, but getting compensation for it..

VERY MUCH a comparison. Once ego and selfishness take over, BB sends you packing.

Shouldn't he have traded Brady by now? I thought you said Brady's ego cost them two Super Bowls?

Seymour was traded becouse they could get a first rounder and he was in the last year of his contract.  Wilfork was also in his last year.  They could not sign both and chose Wilfork.

Don't leave out the best parts.

You forgot the part about how he extorted the new contract from them and how they didn't forget that. You also forgot about the part where once he extorted the big money he never was all-pro again, and only made the pro-bowl a measly once during the big money contract.
