I don't disagree. But, you driving to vote for Johnson is also a waste.  Thst was my point. My vote vs yours aren't any different.

Address the electoral college flaw and then we can talk, dude.

And what is that electoral college flaw junior? Can't wait to hear this one.

I  read  all  the  posts  in  this  thread  and  didn't  read  one  that  indicated  any  grasp  of  how  the  real  world  works.  However, some  posters  made  some  very  good  points  about  our  corrupt  system.  It  seems  most  folks  live  in  a  "Matrix"  type    reality  and  rely  on  corporate  news  for  their  primary  information  source.  Does  anyone  on  this  board  know  what  the  "Federal  Reserve"  is ?  Research  what  the  Fed  is - you'll  be  amazed.  Does  anyone  know  what  club  all  Presidential  candidates  since  1952  belong  to ?  Answer :  the  CFR.  People  like  the  Rothschilds  have  run  this  country  and  the  world  for  200  years.  Politicians  and  lobbyists  are  simply  their  puppets.  Voting  and  choosing  between  Tweedledum  and  Tweedledee  doesn't  mean  you're  a  good  citizen.  To  really  be  a  good  citizen  you  have  to  be  WELL-INFORMED  and  act  on  your  knowledge.

Does this surprise you when you've got a ranking member of one party saying their top priority is not to actually solve any of our country's problems but make sure the president only gets one term?  This is all coming from one side folks and it has been for a while now.  I mean jesus christ the health care bill was a Republican idea from like 20 years ago and now you've got people screaming about "socialism" and how it is the end of America as we know it.

    [/QUOTE]

A ONE TERM PRESIDENT... because of his POLICIES!!!! Get the facts before you opine.

Does it really matter who wins? I don't like either one of them. It'll be the same old BS in Washington as usual after it's all over. The rich 1% will get richer and things will get tougher for the rest of us. The good news is that all of these f***ing campaign ads will end. I suppose that's one thing to be happy about!

    Re: Go vote tomorrow

Globalization will inevitably end in a one-party world government! A secret group of buisnessmen are really running the world. Is it that pesky Build-A-Bear group again?

There is no secret group/sect whatever that really runs the world. There is however quite a few wealthy men and women who use their wealth to maximize their influence. I don't often agree with the general agenda of rich people, and I think many media outlets are their platforms and not as critical as I would like them to be. But it is what it is.

I'm not an American, and I don't admire your voting system with the electoral college. Is it not the president of the entire country who is elected? Then why is it not the result of the popular vote that decides the race?

Nor do I admire the "winner takes it all"-voting system, as it relates to Congress, as it in reality makes it a two-party system, when voters logically optimize their vote, so it goes to a likely - or at least possible candidate. 3rd party candidates will never stand a chance this way, and a vote for them is vasted.

A proportional voting system would allow for a greater diversity in parties represented in Congress, which maybe would give legislation that was a result of compromise among the parties represented.

That aside, I hope each and every one of you have great election day, regardless of who you vote for.

Obama is expected to take an early lead - and keep it. Read the Nate Silver blog. A guy who nailed 49 of 50 states in 2008, and who studies polls and correlations to winning for a living, has Obama a more than 90 % favorite. I don't know what that corresponds to football-wise, Paul K can probably help on that, but I'm thinking Patriots vs. Chiefs at Gilette. It's not a slam dunk, but a Romney win a this stage would be a huge upset.

Romney had a strong period just after the first debate, where he seemed to have a lot of momentum. But it stopped and the picture has returned to what it was before that debate.

Take a break from the Pats talk and vote. Even if you don't vote for my guy, just vote! Check that, go vote IF you have been paying attention.

If you have to prod people to go vote, than odds are that they are ignorant about the issues between liberal and conservative candidates. With the fate of our great country in the balance, we're far better off if people who know nothing about the issues stay home, rather than vote, merely for the sake of voting.

Yup lets put the people back in who stood around denying there were any economic problems while the economy circled the drain. Mitt is trying to portray himself as something new but in fact the same old puppet masters who pulled Bush's strings are pulling Mitts.

It is well documented that Bush, McCain et al were denied multiple times by Barney Frank and his cronies that there was anything wrong with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Who are the ones that stood around doing nothing?? Or even worse, lied to cover up their involvement with the problems?

    Re: Go vote tomorrow

Sadly I live in MA and my vote doesn't count anyways and nether does my vote on ballett issues. This is a state where everyone from my dead grandfather to the guy who just came ashore on a raft from Cuba is handed a pre-filled out ballett (I have actually witnessed this in Everett when I lived there) and where even if a ballett question gets voted on the politicians do what they want anyways (see lowering income and sales tax a number of years ago when the politicians actually went against the vote and raised them instead).

I'm voting for a 3rd party just to try to help get 5% to break the 2 party system but even that won't help.

I feel very strongly that if politics weren't careers but limited service to your country (like originally designed) we'd all be much better off and we wouldn't have such curroption to the core. We'd actually might get people into office who want to help out their fellow Americans instead of screwing them over. I mean seriously if you think about it these people spend hundreds of millions to get appointed to a low 6 figure salary and then we don't expect them to try to line their pockets? That's like paying a quarter for a piece of penny candy and the owner turning his back saying "I won't look for 2mins just only take 1 though it's the honor system'.

THIS IS NOT 2008. Obama has had a failed Presidency for 4 years. If he gets re-elected the failure will be compounded!!! The Libya lies will bury him!!
