This for all those people who love a good conspiracy theory. What if BB is behind RG's delay in coming back? What if it is all part of his plan to get this new offense up to speed as quickly as possible? Think about it. With no RG out there, these new receivers are having to learn at an accelerated rate. Not only that, but TB is forced to continue to throw to them, even with all of their drops and missed routes.
RG not being out there may possibly be the best thing that could have happened for this offense, in terms of the big picture. As long as they keep finding ways to win, there is no urgency to get RG out there. Let's face it...if RG was doggging it in any kind of way, does anybody here believe that BB would just let it go on with no consequence? Not the BB that I have come to know. When you hear RG's responses to the media, he almost sounds like BB. Maybe, BB is encouraging RG to say things to his doctor that cause the doctor to hold off on clearing him.
The other big plus is that RG has been practicing with the team for nearly two months now. According to the announcers at Sunday's game, he is tearing it up in practice. That's great news. That should mean he will hit the field going full speed, when he does return. It will be less likely that we will have to wait 2 or 3 games for him to acclimate himself. Also, the rookies will have already had a good deal of experience playing with him on the field so there shouldn't be any confusion as they try to work him back into the game plan.
I'm telling you, if I was a big conspiracy guy, I could really buy into this. Honestly, though, I don't get caught up in all that kind of stuff and I think it's all just a coincidence.
It's pretty easy to see what is going on here. Multiple things in play, but it is coming to a head. Rumors are the team is considering an season ending IR and I think that is to put the onus on Gronk. First, he's becoming a distraction with his behavior and second, the team is winning without him. Hooman looked good in his role and although we need Gronk, no one is above the team.
You can tell BB is annoyed with Gronk. Brady, too. Every time the media asks him for an update, there is a long pause with a stare down involved and a "he practiced" or "he wasn't active" response.
Gronk was ready Week 3 per the team, was cleared, but Gronk balked and continued to balk through last week, apparently.
Gronk needs to get over it.
I do think it has helped the rookies in ways that will pay off later, though, yes.
Disagree. The OP has a point that I have made also. INjuries have a silver lining in that the backups get in and PLAY IMPORTANT REPS. You have made this point also in the case of woodhead being let go. Hes gone so you have to play the other guys and youre better off.
CANT BELIEVE all this crap about Gronk.
The team is bringing back an important player SLOWLY AND SURELY. THis is smart and all the idiots questioning it should s the f up. The guy rebroke his arm the last ttime he came back too quick for chrissssakes. 4 surgeries just make it worse.
HEY anybody consider the possibilty that if he breaks it again it might threaten his CAREER........? Really just relax and wake up to the obvious observation at face value.
