They would join the debate.  But chances are it's not going to happen.  They're a good team but don't have the depth to be a great team.  A team like the Colts have relied on luck to have a perfect record.

A team of the Decade title starts and ends with Championships. That would give the Colts 2. I'm sure all Colts fans and Patriots haters would anoint them the greatest team of all time. Something they wouldn't even consider doing for the Patriots if they won their 4th Superbowl of the decade this year.

The '72 Dolphis went 16-0 but was not recognized as the team of the 70s - Pittsburgh is the team for that decade.

Same true for the 2000s.  It's the Pats or the Steelers (if they win this year).

Two things are going to happen when the Colts go 19-0

They will immediately and summarily be annointed the Unquestioned and Eternal Champion of This Galaxy and All Others, and everyone who visits this board on anything more than a casual basis will share a collective brain aneurism.

    Yes. They would.

They would beat out the Steelers by the virtue of their undefeated season as well as their impeccable regular season record.

Finishing undefeated would even put them past the Pats in my eyes.

They become automatic second. If the Colts just win another championship they are second, Shittsburgh hasn't been half as dominant as the Colts have been this decade.

I agree with 49Patriots  if they can win this year´s Championship, they´ll pass the Steeles as the 2nd place for this decade.

But to be honest i believe this year NFC teams are great !!! maybe the title will be theirs this year.

Manning has 4 MVPs, Big Ben has zero.

It's the Pats or the Colts dude, and right now it's really looking Colts.

There's no point in arguing Brady v. Manning. Both are stars.

    Manning has 3 MVP's not 4

No way its looking like teh Colts unless they win two more championships....oh wait that can not happen. So I guess no matter what the Pats get team of teh decade....what ever the h ell that means.

Mannings personal number should have nothing to do with how his team is judged as a whole so his 3 MVPs means nothing as far as team of the decade goes.

Not happening!  Colts will loose to Ravens and possibly Houston.  No dome and no zebras to protect them.
Pats will beat Saints because they can.
    Watch and see!

I think it would demonstrate that there is less parity in the NFL than there has been in decades and unfortunately for the Pats I think it would take away from 2007

I have no idea if your a Colt's fan or a Pat's fan, but I love the Mclovin ID. That movie is hilarious!

I would rather listen to that little half a man Mercury Morris for another 25 years than see the colts go 19-0.
