Let's get things straight on Chung

For those of you that are bashing the rookie SS based on being burned by Sinorice Moss, let's think about a few things.   A strong safety is called that because he lines up at the strong side of the field,in other words where the TE lines up.His main responsibilties are covering the HB in the flat and run support.A 215 lb 5'11 rookie SS in single coverage against a 185 lb 5'8 veteran slot receiver is not a matchup any def.coordinator wants and one that any off.coordinator is going to take advantage of.I'm sure the coaches had their reasons for putting Chung on Moss, but don't count on seeing that in a real game.Butler will learn on the slot guys and Chung will do what SS's are suppose to do.Having Chung in that situation is like having Ron Brace covering a TE.

Good points. Remember, its PRESEASON! time to play around with these matchups. Maybe they were just showing chung what happens to a SS in that situation. Regular season, most any SS in the league is going to get burned by a quality WR.
Chung is a quality kid, likely to take over rodney's leadership role in a year or two, IMHO.
