Well, it is the half way point and I looked at the standings.  There are five teams that look like they make the playoff.  They are the four division leaders plus Denver.  After that, no team is within two games of the leaders and only San Diego is above .500 with a 4-3 record.  The next best after that, thanks to the refs, are the Jets at 4-4.  If things don't change, that is quite different from previous years.


It is quite different in the NFC where outside of the NFC Least, there are seven teams above .500.

What is unusal is that despite these previous statements the AFC is +4 over the NFC.
