Re: **My Big 53 Draft Board... Bowl Season Edition***

    Love the list MB!

Names that pop out to me:

Zach Martin- O-line play this year has been way too inconsistent... this could be the biggest need.. good player to draft

Ego Ferguson (in our range probably in late 1st)

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, I would use a 1st on him and his ability

Darqueze Dennard- moment you metioned his name i looked him up and he's been a stud. has greater potential than Alfonso. if thats possible

Kelvin Benjamin- monster. i know we drafted dobson last year but this guy could imediately take his spot imo

Jarvis Landry- love the guy but we already have DA and JE so i dont see a neeed for him but he's talented

DaQuan Jones- could be the best value option in round two to help fill an aging void at DT

EJ Gaines- tough guy. plays real physical ball imo i like that in CBs

Stanley Jean-Baptiste- maybe this guy could produce a Dennard type talent from nebraska again? this college is known for making solid DBs in NFL

Max Bullough- leadership. QB on D. things i love about an ILB. thats why i love MAyo so much could be a good young player in case Spikes leaves

Kenny Guiton- leadership. again thats what i love about these guys. he was a fan and player Fave at OSU and wasnt even the starter. great quality in a player

    Guys I'm Down on-

Bradley Roby- did not meet preseason expectations at all. bad year.

AJ Hubbard- only because Bama has produced bust type Lbs before seems like a risk to me.

Guys outside this list i Like-

Carlos Hyde (rd. 2-3)- if BB was to let Ridley go psot season and couldnt re-sign Blount this guy would be the best direction to take imo. he's a tank

Keith Price (rd 7-ufa) - leadership, winning attitude. i've spoken about him on the draft thread before

Well, I'm going to sound like a broken record.   I've watched all televised BC games.   If Kevin Pierre Louis is available in Round 3 I hope the Pats take him.   Great speed.  Solid tackler.

I see him as the 2014 version of Lavonte David who is having a monster year.

Well, if Buchannon ain't gonna get on the field as a bookend for Jones I'm putting down Randy Gregory..DE Neb.

At DT a kid that's gonna fall due to an injury, I know, I know, but he should be there in the 4th Dominique Easley, kid's a machine.

Re: **My Big 53 Draft Board... Bowl Season Edition***

    Just a few questions.......

Is Jadeveon Clowney going to be a good NFL player?  I was mesmerized last year even before that ridiculous hit.  But, his attitude this year makes me wonder if he's "a football player" or not.  The draft is all about position and need but will he fall past 10?  If he was there at 11 would BB try to get him?

What about McCarron?  I've watched this kid for a long time, since his high school days.  I am always surprised about his arm strength- he seems to have just enough.  Most of all, his poise and decision-making show well in the college ranks.  I'm a little concerned that he hasn't seen the speed of the NFL and that he might be another Alabama (system) player with bust potential in the pros.  I ask this question because he might be available early in Rd 2 and could he be the replacement for TB?  By the way, adding to a comment elsewhere on the board, I'd look into the availability of Thad Lewis (Bills).  He had poise under pressure, quick reads and a really strong accurate arm.

Clowney is as talented a prospect as I've seen, if he wants it and stays healthy, he could be the G.O.A.T on the defensive side of the ball.

I'm a big McCarron guy... love the leadership, poise, accuracy experience/success in big games, and he's proven against elite competition (SEC is as close to the NFL in terms of talent/speed as you'll find in college football).

I think he's a very realistic option for BB/NC at some point on Day 2 if he's available... as TB's successor.

Another name to keep in mind is Ball State QB Keith Wenning, though he's probably more of a Day 3 kid... but at 6-4 222, with a good arm and accuracy, he's a sleeper that no one is talking about, IMO.  Kid is really efficient in the short/intermediate areas of the field, showing good accuracy and touch.
