That's good enough for me ..Thanks...These guys get much better inside info than the national guys.

This afternoon ESPN can report that "Sources Close to the Patriots Have learned" that Welker will be a full participant at training camp. SportsFlash

Edit} Man, are we stacked with good wide receivers this year or what? If we get any kind of running game we're going to score huge this year.

I'd let the guy heal more if it was my choice. He's the bulk of our catches typically. Must be a magic surgery he got.

I don't think the injury was as bad as first reported. The media made sound like he was going to need a new knee and douple hip replacement. It couldn't have been as severe as some of the other knee injuries we've seen.

I just hope its not cause his contract is winding down and being on the field will earn a few more $. Even a strained ACL or MCL takes a while to heal. He's a guy I'd like to see retire as a Patriot. Just not in the middle of this season.

true that, most people also don't realize that with proper healing and rehab the knee can actually become stronger. He will still have issues over his life, but as long as he watches it and keeps up the strength in his knee, I know Welker will be a big impact on the field.

please don't post anything about Ells two totally different issues in different sports that can not even come close to being related to each other.

I agree with the WR's we have and what a dynamic group they are but I think the root of the problem having to throw so much to welker was that we couldn't run the ball for crap. the safetys pinched in and Moss was double teamed or there was help over the top. I still don't think we have a sound running game. I hope we can get Inghram next year. I have real high hopes for Brandon Tate. I guess wes will know when the pads are on and he takes that first cut and hit.

All this means is that Wes will miss less than six games so he cannot be pup'd

It also means the Patriots have plans to carry seven wide receivers...

    Moss
    Welker
    Edleman
    Tate
    Price
    Holt

These guys are on the bubble now, Becasue McGowan ans Chung are going to be relied on heavily in ST, as well as Kyle Arrington.

    Slater
    Aiken

I am expecting BB to carry more LB's DB's and DL's than ST specialist so it may be the end of the road for Slater, Aiken, and BJBE

I don't have anything to back this (because I'm too lazy to look it up) but I remember hearing he tore his MCL and his ACL. Then I remember hearing it was only his MCL and it that it wasn't torn as bad as it could have been. He's the bulk of our catches typically. Must be a magic surgery he got. Phil, he was last year because the rest (except Moss) of the WR/TE group weren't producing for him the way he needed them too. If what he has now for a WR/TE group can all get on the same page, understand the playbook and run smart, efficiently timed routes WW will only be one threat the D has to worry about.  Moss   Holt            Hernendez                                 Welker               Tate                                                 Brady                                                         Faulk Would you want to be a CB/Safety with this coming at you?

Russ, it looks like Moss and Holt are burning deep, Gronk and Larry stay back to buy TB 4 seconds while Hernendez and Welker cross. Welker grabs the 4yd crossing pass to the right and turns upfield in the hole left open from the Moss double team. 23 yd reception, 1st down NE or... Holt and Moss burn deep on the sidelines, WW and Hernandez go 5 and then both go for the sideline. TB play actions to Maroney and hits a wide open Gronk down the middle. 17 yd reception first down NE or... I could do this all night

If we stay healthy we could be looking at offensive stats similar to 2007 again. We just need some run to mix things up a little.

Pretty sure if Maroney could catch worth a darn they would have tried this by now.

I had Crumpler on my Fantasy team back when Vick was in his prime and he was one of the top producing tight ends for a couple of years. It's not his fault the Falcons went into the tank. I think he has a couple of productive years left in him and we'll all be pleasantly surprised. And... he has much better hands than Watson.

I want them to run it up too. I want to be faking field goals and punts when we're up by 30 points in the 4th quarter. It's pay back time for all these em-effers.

That's good news for Welker, but as for the development of Tate, Gronk, Hernandez,  Price, and Edelman as well as incorparting Crumpler and Holt into the offense it does not look good.

Holt      LT LG C RG RT                        Welker      Moss
                                Crumpler

                       Brady

                     Maroney

I say, Welker under, Moss top, Crumpler stays in to block. Holt won't even get a glance.

In Response to Re: No PUP for Welker!! : I'm with you, I see the potential for them matching or passing 07 numbers but it all has to click. Limit the injuries, WR/TE know the playbook, O-Line performs, solid play calling, D comes together and holds teams to less than 24 because that's all the O will need. Holt, Crumpler, Moss and Faulk are going to have a fun year. I call them out because of their age and experience of knowing what it takes to do what they're going to do or are doing I guess.   Can you imagine if Tate or Pryce become a deep threat? What that would do for Moss?

S-A, I'm so freakin excited man.  I think BB's got the football world right where he wants it.  Let's see we have a motivated and healthy Brady, a motivated Moss in a contract year (looking for 1 last big one),  Wes out to prove he OK, throw in a few 2nd year receiver's, promising rooks and TE that can catch the ball.

This is not 09 or 08.  Our DB's are younger and more athletic then the past 2 years.  I see a healthy Mayo and better LB core then last year and the line should be improved.

The world is using 08 and 09 as their barometer to judge our team........FOOLS.

I know we all put the blame on O'Brien, but Brady isn't some rookie QB. Brady can, and should've, called audibles in games. He's happy enough throwing to Moss and Welker.

Welker's back, why would he throw to these new guys he doesn't trust when his go to guy is back? Last year, Brady didn't trust Galloway, Aiken, Watson, or Baker and look where it got us. Now I'm supposed to believe that he'll just throw to some rookies and some old guys?
