TEAM sport. One aspect affects all the other aspects. Depends only how you want to view a particular stat.
Brady double pumping and holding the ball longer for most of these early games because he is not fully confident if his young or new crew of WR's are going to make the same post snap sight adjustments as him lends to that.
Him holding the ball a bit longer because he wants to be sure the WR if really where he belongs because protecting the ball is still paramount lends to that.
A off target pass or drop resulting in an incompletion leading to 3rd and longs which require longer routes which take longer to develop also lends to that.
Defenses realizing some of the above issues and playing the Patriots differently than in years past, while they can, or while that lasts lends to some of that as well.
Just as there have been conditions that lend to Brady's play through the 1st half of season so are there conditions or reasons for the overall play quality of every positional group.
Exactly and Joshy can help by NOT calling a run play on 1st down with Blount in the backfield. Thats 2 and 10 all day. throw it on 1st, a nice easy route. Thats how young Qbs settle in and if Joshy was smart he would do the same for Brady to get him in early rythm. Last week it was playaction to start the game and he got sacked!
You are saying he should pass on first down. I don't disagree. I just don;t agree completely. They should mix it up. And definitely Blount should not be the on in teh back.
You say he got sacked when he tried passing on PA on the first play of the game. You are basically saying other teams are 100% committing to an aggressive throw enerything onto the QB pass D. Doesn't that present an opportunity for a good run play there?
