    O'Callaghan to K.C

Former Patriots offensive lineman Ryan O'Callaghan has been awarded to the Kansas City Chiefs on waivers.

The Browns also put in a claim on O'Callaghan, but the Chiefs had priority based on having the worse record in 2008.

Former Patriots Vice President of Player Personnel Scott Pioli is in his first year as Chiefs general manager, so he has a background with O'Callaghan, a 2006 fifth-round draft choice in New England.

It's important to remember that watching the Pats' castoffs hook up with other teams is really nothing more than a testament to New England's depth.

That guys we have come to know and love (and hate) are being snatched off the waiver wire is a good thing.

My friends who are Bronco fans are annoyed with picking up so many "former" Patriot players

Adam_Schefter Eric Mangini's Browns also put a claim on O'Callaghan, but the Chiefs had a higher waiver priority.
