[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Parcells Quits Yet Again : No, tool. Parcells tries to take teams who are 1-15 or 3-13 and improve them because there is no way to go but up. Note how he didn;t stick with that kind of team unless a GM (George Young) had a success rate. It's because it's easy to improve. Even the 80s Giants were anywhere but up. Just how hard is it? Bill Parcells might be the most overrated front office human of all time. Not just in the NFL put an overrated personnel manager in any operation. Great coach, average GM. AVERAGE. Why is it people can't differentiate between his work as a coach and a GM? Does anyone know? What is the malfunction? Is it a brainwashing by Wil McDonough here? Parcells last success as a coach was over 10 years ago. His success as a GM? Hmm. Well, we're still waiting. Is this a NYers way to try to disparage how incredible BB is? Hmm. The reason why billionaires gave him checks is because they were desperate. That's why Jerry Jones hired him. Desperation. Heck, it;s why Kraft hired him and why Kraft hired him and realized he made a mistake. And the reason why Parcells scoots out of town really quick without BB at his side is because he cannot do it. He just can't. He's never done it without BB.

You DO know Kraft did NOT hire him? He was coaching the team when Kraft bought it. James Busch Orthwine (spell check) owned the team and wanted to move them to StL, but the move was blocked, so sold the team to Kraft.
BP brought the Pats to the superbowl. This was the best team in the AFC when he left (in very poor fashion). Pete Carroll came in and blew up the team after!
The NY Jets were a worse team then the Pats when he took over, brought them to the AFC Championship game in a few years.
The Cowboys couldnt win more than 5 games when he took over, and all the talent was gone when he arrived. He brought a team that had Quincy Carter as his starting QB to the Playoffs, that alone should say enough!
He didnt coach the Fish, yet look at that roster now, and look at it then, not even close!
I am a Pats fan, I know what he did here sucked, no doubt, but that is what sticks in all of our minds when thinking of BP! He is very good in what he does! He starts with NOTHING then makes a solid team! Look at the craptacular coaches that had followed him from those teams, it isnt his fault that the owners bring in crap when he leaves! They were ALL terrible!
By the way, he DID NOT QUIT, his contract ran out!
