Come back at the end of the season, Pal... We'll see who has the better record. I have watched the Bills for years, and know they have a 9 and 7 season in them. That might be optimistic...

Bills outplayed the patriots on defense and offense, Enuff said. Fire the patriots OC, bill should of never handed the job to him.

They already can't hit the quarterback. Even the PF against the Bills for the hit on Welker seemed ridiculous.

I also was struck by all of the fans appluading the Roughing the Passer penalty  like someone had actually made a good play.

If the players can't hit anyone, it's not football anymore, and if all penalties are subjective then it's not sport either.

This seemed to be a case of over-officiating and that takes away from the game.

EVERYTHING about this defense was horrid. I worry that it's so bad that there's no possible way for them to morph into an adequate defense this year.

I can't believe this defense, this has to be the worst Bellichek has ever put out there. Welker is the only one with hart today.

Man the Pasts d is terrible.  If Brady doesn't play the perfect game, this team can't win.

Those who mentioned Defense, you are so right.  They really stink.  McCurty is not a shut down corner.  He is being abused this year.  Maybe he made the pro bowl based on 7 INTs.  Where the hell is the pass rush?  Go PATS.

How in the sam hill can this defense get graded as a B two weeks in a row after giving up b to b 400 yard games.

IDIOTS  Bill is not a defensive genius.  I am so tired of hearing that statement

Pay attention to what he says at 00:50-1:00 because its all true about the patriots this season. Our defense sucks hands, Brady put up 21 points at half time to make it 21-0. If we had a defense brady wouldn't have to put up 50 points a game to bail out this shitty defense.

Congrtas to Bill's fans....Bill outplayed the Pats for sure.  Now having said that..the Bill's offense operated bascially unopposed.  Pats D bascially does not exist.  If Brady is not perfect and doesn't put up 50 the Pats will not win.
This D is soft....actaully soft is not saft enough a word to describe how soft they are.  Why bother even suiting up..this D could sit on the bench and we would get the same results... JUST BRUTAL.
CAN'T PASS RUSH, CAN'T STOP THE RUN, CAN'T COVER A PASS
SOFT, SOFT, SOFT   ..I think I'm gonna hurl  !!!  What a bunch of p us s ies

[QUOTE]Yes Brady wasn't terrific and the defense was awful, but the real key to the game was the horrific officiating!  They called ruffing the passer on the Patriots to change the out come of the end.  There was no worse call to effect a game.  This is FOOTBALL and if you can't tackle a Quarterback then what can you do?

That was the worst call in this short season and it was the game changer. Brady was not all that bad, when he had a reciever like Welker. Ocho Stinko caused one interception and dropped on that my kid could have caught.

Re: Pats / Buffalo game thread

This season could be lost real quick. This defense is the worst Ive seen in years. This is the third game theyve allowed close to a 400 yrd passer. My god Henne looked like Marino. The question is can we continue to score like this, because if we dont we will lose a lot of games. I dont understand why we go into season after season believing we can win without some resemblance of a pass rush. Without the pass rush, our secondary has that much more pressure on them.

I'm tired of these press conferences were BB comes up with these excuses and leads us to believe he is this genius who doesnt need a defensive coordinator and that we can just pluck guys from the waiver wire and sign guys 2-3 years past there pprime, all these roster moves, cutting and signing  and everything will work out just fine....Well, guess what? Its not and it hasnt for years. And it wont this year or next....Until this defense is fixed!!! We won Super Bowls with DEFENSE.DEFENSE.DEFENSE. Willie,Tedy,washington,Law,Samuel,Vrabel,Harrison,Seymour... We didnt win with Brady throwing 400 yrds and running the ball 10 times. Brady would be lucky to hit 200. But we had balance and play action. Brady wasnt forced to play like an MVP every sunday because he could count on his defense to step up  make the stop. Theres no lead safe. Brady knows this and is forced to think he needs to score on every drive thus making throws he typically wouldnt. It will be interesting to see what changes if any are made. Making for a long playoff-less season.

Re: Pats / Buffalo game thread

I'm sorry but the idea that the refs fixed this one for Buffalo is crazy. I watched the forward lateral that knocked Buffalo out of the 2000 playoffs, the Dallas Stars kicking in the game winning goal in the Stanley Cup finals, our tight end getting striped of the ball after forward progress was stopped in an overtime loss to Baltimore last year, 4 losing super bowls in a row, 15 losses in a row to Patriots, 20 losses in a row to Miami, years of #1 draft picks out of the league, John Y Brown gutting our Basketball team which became the Clippers (who are still cursed, btw), declining population, loss of factory jobs, dutch elm disease, etc. etc.

Buffalo is cursed when it comes to sports and maybe most other things. There is no way a fix could ever be in FOR Buffalo. Or if there was a fix it would only be to set us up for even deeper disappointment. Our last championship team was the 1965 AFL Bills, 45 years ago. (not counting indoor LaCross)

Re: Pats / Buffalo game thread

Stefan Ridley--- was the star in the first preseason game- top ground gainer, catching passes out of the backfield, etc., etc. Then, disappeared, not seen again in the rest of preseason games, or first two NFL games. Only comment by BB about him after Ridley's great performance, and before regular season began---"he (Ridley) hasn't been at practice", then no more abouy Ridley until yesterday, as the Buffalo disaster unfolded, Ridley comes into the game, 3rd quarter , runs 2 or 3 plays for 5, 8,9 yards- then out of game, not to be seen again.  In quick review of the game, there was no question that the running game was not getting it done- the "law firm", appeared to average 2, 3 yards a carry, and Woodhead no much better??     What is going on with Ridley???????? Has he  been some sort of problem to BB since he got there??? Reprospect- shoulda, coulda, a full dose of Ridley could have made the difference in the outcome????
