The issues in  are as plain as the nose on your face. This is the worst defense of the Belichek era. He needs to get more involved in the defense and find some saftys and corners who can actually cover. The defensive line is mediocore with no real chance at sacking the QB.  Buffalo just dropped thier qb an extra 5 yards and it was over. You win with defense and right now there is none in NE

BB and Co. got outcoached. Hand it to Chan Gailey and Co.  Some Keys:
    1. Tipped passes. How many of TB's passes were tipped? Two interceptions by tipped passes, and one interception due to a poor route by 85.  This was coached and it worked better than they could have anticipated.
    2. Branch was taken out of the game. Welker and Gostowski had productive games but 85 did not step up and become a factor.
    3. The Pats usually take the best offensive threat out of the game. Jackson had a monster game. The D came up short.
    4. Good time management at the end of the game by Buffalo. Did BB lose his cool and blow a time out? Wouldn't have made much difference, but at least we would have gottent the ball back and had 15 sec's on the clock.

Billy OBrian must go! Steven Riddly was 7 carries for 44 yards. Thats 6.3 yards per carry. Why didnt he get more touches in the 2nd Half?

The Pats are bringing Ridley along slowly. They have faith in the Law Firm and Woodhead (averaging />4yard per carry on the season) that they won't put the ball on the ground. Ridley is getting integrated, I'm sure the coaches are talking to Ridley after each carry and coaching him up. I think it's a good move. He'll be a better back for it.
Green Ellis and Woodhead were not the problem.

Re: Pats / Buffalo game thread

85 COST us the GAME.. or atleast the opportunity to Win. If he makes that High school WR training session TD catch with 7+ minutes to go, and Bills go on to take the lead with a 3 or 7, Patriots still have a final drive to tie the game and possibly win if the Bills had only a FG.

INSTEAD Pats spend another 4 miins on the field going for 4th down passes, Welker getting overstretched and gassed out. Meanwhile Bills offense got another 4 mins rest and then came with 3 1/2 mins remaining and torched the Pats nofense.

If there was one guaranteed play that could have given us the opportunity, it was it.
FIRE 85 NOW! He doesnt deserve a spot with those slimy hands. Look at the 4th down Welker 1st down conversion on Pats final drive. He made an unnatural stretch and plucked the bullet and preserved the 1st down. Make 85 watch it 10 TIMES before FIRING him.

Total lack of discipline. That's really alarming. we got as perfect a day weather wise as your ever gonna get in buffalo and they couldn't take advantage of that.when we play next weather is going to be a factor in the outcome. good teams don't implode w/ 21-0 leads. whatever had to happen to lose happened for the Pats. It was like watching a Redsox game.

The sooner the Pats build the running game around Riddley and give him 20 carries a game the better. The kid has the potential to be a very strong featured back.
We need to get away from this pass happy offense. It doesn't complement the defense, which needs help from the offense with ball controlling, punishing drives. Teams that have running games and stick to them don't blow 21-0 leads, period.
