Pats offense need to upgrade ASAP!

The Pats need to bring in a good quality vet wide receiver to help Tom Brady ASAP.  Danny is a good receiver but he is the injury prones and left out only Julian Ederman.  The rookies is still a rookies and they need time to learn the Pats offense book.  And if, Julian Ederman is injury then whoesle is next???  This is not fair to Tom compare to the other QBs.

With the Pats offense now, they cannot compete with 49ers, Broncos, Packers, Falcons, Saints and Lions.  If they don't upgrade their receiving core, they will have an early vacation in Christmas very soon.

Game ball to Julian Ederman and defensive units last night.

    Go Pats!

I heard the Pats have already called Rob Gronkowski, Danny Amedola, Shane Vareen and Zac Sudfeld. All 4 are expected to be with the team at varying points over the next several weeks.  Once all four are on the field, expect to see the offense to improve and the Brady Pountin Manning impressions to go down significantly...

Plenty of talent at WR, but can they get Tom's trust or patience to let the vet develop? Galloway, Ocho were talented vets, but Brady couldn't get in sync with them and they did nothing with the Pats.

    ======================================

A real positive was that the Jets knew many times that Brady was going to Edelman and still couldn't stop him. Did the frequent Brady to Edelman remind you of Brady's same reliance on Wes Welker? Don't you think that Gronk & Amendola returning are going to make them a very effective receiving core. Love the comment from a poster to contact Randy Moss...maybe more than a joke ?

Running game & pass rush were weak but at the end Brady played the clock exceptionally well.

Weather was not conducive to effective passing but Jets receivers too dropped quite a few fortuantely for us.

I dont think there is going to be a magical addition to the team.  Fingers crossed that the rookies and brady figure things out and the health of the guys that are out improves quickly.

Former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Laurent Robinson insisted in mid-July that he finally was symptom-free from the four concussions he sustained in a four-month span last season.

After working out for seven NFL teams in the past three weeks, Robinson is expected to soon find a home. He recently gained medical clearance from an Orlando-basic clinic for concussions, according to Tom Pelissero of USA Today.

    The evolution of the NFL:
Take a look at how the NFL has evolved from its humble roots, and the efforts being made to ensure it continues to grow.

Robinson revealed to NFL Network's Andrea Kremer in February that he was still sensitive to light and couldn't be around his crying infant daughter because it led to throbbing headaches.

When the NFL Players Association sent the receiver to see a neurologist in April, he acknowledged that he "definitely wasn't ready to be cleared."

Robinson has turned the corner since then, working out and running routes without issue. The dilemma for interested NFL teams is whether or not Robinson will have to pull the cord on his football career if he sustains another concussion.

Teams in need of a veteran receiver include the contending Baltimore Ravens, San Franciso 49ers and New England Patriots. Robinson already has worked out for the latter two. Now that he's cleared for contact, interest could be rekindled

Can anyone name any quality receivers out there who is currently available and ready to play for the Pats right now outside of learning the Pats system?

Maybe there is a reason why they have not come through the door and BB ain't alking about it at the moment.

No, all those boats sailed during the time they could have and should have been picked up.

Randy is in the neighborhood. Seriously, he would help the game all the way around, as old and tired as some think he is. He's Randy Moss. Knows TB and Pats schemes very very well. He'd help those younguns come along.  Pats tried to resign Lloyd. Why not  Randy?

Yeah Randy. We've had "old" guys who contributed before- whether in a lmited or on going role.  Think Flutie, or better yet Seau.

It's about time we all realize that even if Amendola gets back in six weeks, he'll only make it through a couple games.  I hope Belichick and Kraft suffer this whole season for their stupid decisions . wouldn't  pay Welker, wouldn't pay Lloyd, let Woodhead get away. Stupid stupid stupid.  I don't think Brady is frustrated with the players,  he's mad at those idiots he's working for.

How about the rookies catch the ball! Alot of those passes last night were pretty well placed. What would you have Brady do? If a ball hits you in the hands an NFL WR should make the catch. It's tough to know if WR's getting to the right spot or Brady missing the target is the culprit but unless you are part of the coaching staff or the players it's all conjecture. I don't understand all the rush to blame Brady.

I hope, but a couple things to consider....

How long can they all stay on the field together?  Gron, Amendola, Vareen and Edelman are all injury prone.  Have all missed huge amounts of time over their young careers.  If we are counting on all of them to stay healthy and be on the same field together for many games then we have some very big problems ahead of us.

By the time Gronk get's back he is going to have a lot of ground to make up to reach the point of being in game shape and game ready.   Same with Amendola and Vereen when they get back.  Veeren has what 8 weeks if all goes well and DA has 2-6 weeks? And man, hopefully Edelman can stay healthy in the meantime.

Point of order: Pats are 2-0.  Thompkins looked MUCH better last night.  It was Dobson's first real action.  I say stay the course, get the young guys dialed in, focus on getting things done right and later it will be fine.  It's painful, but now is the time.  Also, THE PATS ARE 2-0 and both wins are division wins.  WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

They should try to bring in Deverly Henderson (former Saints) Laurent Robinson or Austin Collie.  Those are vet wide receivers would help especially, Deverly Henderson has never fumbles in his career.

I think this is BB's plan. But Josh McD is calling terrible games. Should have used the hurry up all night and wear the Jests  down

I don't think they have the receivers to run hurry-up effectively.  Works great when you have guys like Welker, Hern, and Gronk who can get open and be in the right place for Brady to hit them fast.  It's not going to work well with this crew, since only Edelman can play that game.

For those suggesting Ocho was a good receiver who Brady couldn't work with, do you know what Ocho did both the year before and the year after he played for the Pats.  Not much more than what we saw when he was here.
