Prescott Burgess back to the Ravens

Just saw the Ravens signed him off our practice squad.   Kinda disappointed actually.  Thoughts?

I believe he has to remain on Baltimore's active 53 man roster for 3 weeks or will again be deemed property of the Patriots.

The Ravens lost a lineback (not sure how long he'll be out) and it makes sense for them to claim him. He knows their system.

This is in a way awesome and in a way embarrasing.  In one sense we got punked out of a draft pick and that is terrible.  In another it shows that BB will always do what he knows his best regardless of the past.  And that is the true Patriot Way.  When Sands became available and BB felt he was a better use of a roster spot than Burgess than he got rid of Burgess even though he made the investment of a draft pick in him.  Class Belichik.

we didnt get punked out of a draft pick, it was conditional. Wow

Re: Prescott Burgess back to the Ravens

The pick was conditional.  Because he was subsequently cut from our roster and then resigned to the practice squad the pick reverted back.  Any team can sign a guy off any teams practice squad as long as they sign him to their 53 man roster.  When that guy got hurt yesterday...they grabbed him back.

If someone is signed off of our practice squad, I think we get a right of first refusal. Not certain of this, though.

If that is the case, then we may have actually gotten something (but probably not). We simply needed the space for Junior.

This was another questionable Bellicheat move to get the Ravens defensive playbook. The "Grinch who stole Xmas" is a relentless cheater, he never quits.

Before any of you morons jumps in with some jack@ss comment, no this is not why the Ravens lost.

He was traded BY THE RAVENS to the Patriots, so if they were concerned about the playbook.... don't do the trade in the first place. The Patriots were worried about their linebackers so they tried to hold onto Burgess in the practice squad. He probably never would have played this year for the team as BB was already in the process of signing Seau. Stop throwing out the word cheater, when you don't know squat!

They IR'd one of their LB's. He won't be back.

This had nothing to do with Junior. The Ravens IR'd one of their LB's from their 53man active roster.

PB was on the Pats Practice Squad. Junior would need to be signed to the 53man active roster and that is currently full.

Practice squad players basically have free agent status. They can sign, or not sign, with any team to an active roster.

I think Belichick is just amazing. I bet he somehow created offensive blocking schemes based on his knowledge of the Ravens defensive playbook that got them to commit those penalties. The man is magic.

Either that or the Ravens defenders are dumbazzes who haven't figured out what is against the rules.

Reactionary pay back!! The Ravens were out smarted by BB's insisting that the trade being conditional, then releasing him only to resign him to the practice squad, then came the  game which they once again felt humiliated, so they reacted, plus they had lost a linebacker and needed a replacement. I suppose in the end they inadvertently used the Pats as their practice squad.

Beat it Koolaid, it's time for you to head to Cincy and talk about how we cheated to get the win to them. Maybe you can hand deliver the game film for your coach to the NFL because he still hasn't stopped crying.

We have to prepare for another early season, undefeated, haven't had a tough schedule team that I'm sure will have a thousand reasons to beat us Sunday like you jerks did.

It's been real fun 34-28 Cincy
