If it weren't for a gift by the referees in the form of a horrible call, the Patriots loss to the Baltimore Ravens this past Sunday would have been worse. The officials ruled a botched punt recovery in favor of NE when it was obvious that the NE player did not come down with the ball. As a result of the bad call, NE got the ball in a very favorable spot on the field around the 17 yard line, which then resulted in a NE touchdown. The line judge who made the call was standing just a couple of feet away from the play. It is a shame that these refs could not get a call right without instant replay. Luckily for the Ravens, the bad call did not affect the outcome of the game, as the Ravens went ahead with their beatdown and humiliation of the flag football team called the NE Patriots.
