Lloyd knows the system.  I doubt Wayne gets so much as a call from BB.

Only if they also add Lloyd or Jackson, THEN is a good move.

Colts in contract talks to keep free agent Reggie Wayne

Houston Texans v Indianapolis ColtsGetty Images

The Indianapolis Star reports that the Colts are rekindling the idea of re-signing free agent wide receiver Reggie Wayne, and were in contract talks as of Tuesday evening.

The receiver market has thinned out quickly. Vincent JacksonStevie JohnsonMarques Colston,Pierre GarconJosh MorganRandy Moss, andHarry Douglas have signed contracts. Some reports suggest Eddie Royal and Robert Meachem have also picked new homes.

Dwayne BoweDeSean Jackson, and Wes Welkerwere franchise tagged.

Wayne doesn’t seem to be generating a whole lot of interest, so perhaps the Colts are hoping to re-sign him on the cheap.

The Star also reports that the Colts are in conversations with free agent defensive end Cory Redding.

He's no longer a #1 WR...but probably will want to be paid like one. At age 33, no thanks.

I just read Rocky's post. So, it's all academic: http://nflspinzone.com/2012/03/13/reggie-wayne-returns-to-indianapolis-colts/

This could be a good move for Indy. Whatever team Peyton Manning joins, the Colts can dangle Wayne in a trade...and have some leverage. After all, whatever Peyton wants, he'll be given by the desperate teams pursuing him.

Probably. This leaves Denver (most likely), Tennessee, and Arizona as his pursuers.
