[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Revis contract not such a good deal for the Jets : Just the fact that you would make a statement like that removes any possibilty that you have an ability to separate the facts from your fanatism. Why don't you write out the top 5 weaknesses for the Patriots and Jets last year and tell us all what was or was not done to address them.

You are an idiot by stating that Tannenbaum is one of the best gm's in football. Anyone can make deals for idiots that force their way out of town I.E: Tomlinson, Holmes, Edwards, Cromartie. Stockpiling unwanted troublemakers is something he took a chance on and signing players that are unwanted does not make a team, due to players wanting it there way. Your entire team is a time bomb waiting to go off and I would hate to be on the team if you start off bad and these attitudes begin to burst. Your coach is an idiot that fills the chalk board with material because he cant keep his comments to himself. Your team is going to faulter and most likely will not make the playoffs due to poor QB play and attitude issues. Then Tannenbaum will lose his job and your fat head coach will die of a stroke.

[QUOTE]yeah, such a terrible contract for the jets that we get the best cb in the league for the next 4 years at $11.5MM per.  That must have hurt alot of the pats fans here thinking that his contract was going to hurt the jets chances of paying other players by paying a CB, QB money.  I like the contract and think that it is a win for the Jets.  Plus he will be on the field Monday and next Sunday.  Randy Moss will be so happy.

seems your math is awry because according to the article posted, the Jets will owe Revis in 2011 25 million dollars. and they have policy of not renegotiating contracts other than rookie contracts. how do the Jets pay Revis $25 mil and also field a team assuming in 2011 there w/b a salary cap

2011 will be where his contract becomes a major issue, yes.  There was an article today about how the owners didn't like the 2006 CBA extension and want more control.

This means, more control over the cap number and subsequent cap rate hikes, as I have said for months with Jets fans absolutely clueless about it.
