I agree with what he's saying.  I think that tough, smashmouth mentality has given way to more of a fantasy football mentality, where they can just throw the ball 50 times a game and win by outscoring teams via shootout.  The foundation of the Patriot Dynasty was built on defense, toughness and being prepared for any and all situations.  There's not doubt that talent is needed, however I think the following line says it all 

" I would take a less-talented guy, but a guy that really cared about football. You know, he maybe didn’t have to come from a football bloodline, but a guy that is in the weight room, is in the study room, is doing everything it takes to be a champion. And that’s the guy you want in the foxhole with you"
