Where are the Jets at in cap space right now? I've followed their cuts, but not the acutal numbers.

Re: RKarp - Your Presentation Is Due

I have the Jets at $8 million under, give or take a couple of hundred thousand. So they have gone from $31 over to $8m under

My understanding is that they will redo Holmes, Mangold and D'Brick shortly, as well as cut Tebow, putting them approx $28 million under the cap

My understanding is also they simply had to be under the cap as of today (which they are), and the other moves can come "as needed"...I am told that will be this week, but that is a fluid situation...

I guess there really is no such thing as salary cap hell...

Where are you getting this number from?  They were at 5.6 before the Pouha release.

I show them at $9 mill and some change without Mauga and Gerrard contracts, includes the release of Pouha.  Remember teams save about $4 mill for rookie signings.

Pouha's a big lose. Another starter they have to let go. That's what 9 starters from last year they've lost so far? That's cap hell when you lose so many starters and have to replace them with subpar players

Told ya, Pouha would be cut.  Welcome, Pouha.  Will be nice for you to play for a winner and try for a real SB here in NE vs a fake one in NY.

However, that still won't be enough to get 25+ million under.

Pouha is old and has a bad back.  Meh.

Having to cut all or most of your talented players is salary cap hell as far as I can tell...

Wozzy...they cut JSmith, ESmith, CPace and BScott. Pouha was not going to pass a physical. Tebow never played. Who else was "cut"?

even though we are Pats fans, cant we at least acknowledge Mangold, D'Brick, Howard, Kerley, Revis, Cro, Wilson, Coples, Wilkerson are all players that are talented? Hasnt Holmes torched the Pats enough to give him a little props? Arent the Pats interested in Devito? Doesnt that say something about his ability?

I get it, there is one tool on the board that follows me around like a poodle hanging on my every word. But the rest of us can have a normal conversation that the team that has been to 2 AFCCCG in the past 5 seasons does have a little talent, cant we?

Pouha? Hahaha! Yeah let's sign another 34 year old with a bad back!
