[QUOTE]I have no idea why this M.O.R.O.N is allowed to speak on TV. I heard the same thing this morning and was going to start a topic. except called, "Why is this guy allowed to speak on tv?" You forgot a majorly stupid thing he said, "tom brady won't have the same season he had last year because he just doesn't have the weapons." wat is he talking about!??!?!?!?! We have the same guys plus Chad, Ridley, and Vereen. Then he says "the Pats defense was ranked 30th last year." so that means they cant improve. so in summary, the offense got worse bc he dont have the same weapons and the defense isnt allowed to improve despite u know the fact that our defense is yougn and learning and we added Haynesworth, Carter, Ellis. just disugsting this guy is allowed to be there and none of us aren't.

Can you positively/absolutely guarandamntee that teh Pats offense this season will be better than the '10 offense? How much money out of your own pocket will you be betting that they will win the SB this season? Or that Brady will be the unanimous MVP for the rest of his playing career, using your logic of "no possible drop off", as long as he stays upright and healthy.
Improving defense? Hasn't that been "improving" for a few years now? Did you see the Lions game? It was an eye opener. And I don't want to hear anything about injuries, who did/didn't play, or it's only exhibition. Their QB's played like All Pros, and the Pats did absolutely NOTHING to stoop them, save for 1 INT (Saunders was cut after the game... so much for "improving". He's the one defender that actually DID something positive.) Again, I ask you if you can guarantee that this "improving" defense will improve enough to getto 16-0 (all they need is a 2 game inprovement, from 14-2). A two game inprovement isn't asking for much. Or, are you satisfied with losing to a division rival AND a woebegone Browns team, who the Pats made look like worldbeaters by halftime?
If they are "still improving", will you guarantee that they shut out the Bills and Fins, who scored a collective 10 points in teh last two good games the Pats played last season?
I don't read a lot into preseason games except for intensity and mistakes (mental and physical). I got nothing out of either of the first two pre-season games this year. But, the game vs the Lions was an eye opener and a shocker. In 3 of their last 5 games, they took losses when they looked like they had no business being on the field: 1) Game #14 when they beat the Packers (No Rodgers, home game, 1/2 the Packers roster on IR, Brady on a roll, the defense "improving" = SCARE OF THIER LIVES (see: game #16, 2007 season) 2) 2010 playoff game vs JESTS! (Inability to keep Brady upright AND that "improving" defense giving up huge plays and getting shoved all over the field (Did eh defense "improve" enough for you during that game?) 3) Last week's debacle vs Lions (Did you see that game? The WHOLE game? Starters, backups, players on the bubble all outplayed the Pats. That "improving" defense made the entire Lions roster look like All Pros, especially their QB's.)
If this is the best that the Pat's "improving" defense can do, then I say it's going to be another short post season. Pre-season game #3 is usually teh game that peaks volumes during pre-season. Granted there was the lockout and no OTA's, but if this manure pile is the BEST the Pat's could offer up, especially that "improving" defense, then it'll be a short post season. Including the JESTS! twice, the Pats play only five 2010 playoff teams this season (JESTS!, Steelers, Chiefs, Eagles, and Colts). Of these teams, let's agree that teh Chiefs were very lucky to get in, and the Colts had their chances to lose out, except for a poor division. Of their non-2010 playoff opponents, the Bolts, Cowboys, adn the Giants look to be really strong opponents. Let's see what this "improving" defense does this season.
And, PLEASE do not bring Haynesworth, Ellis, et all, into the equation, because they haven't played a single down this preseason. The jury is still out on them. UNless, of course, your 100% guaranteed crystal ball is working. IN that case you wouldn't be on this board, as you would have nailed every Pats game at Vegas sportsbooks, AND had teh winning num, bers to teh $300million+ lottery. Until then, stop insisting things WILL happen.
"Improving defenbse"..... we can only hope. A 14-2 team with a 30th rank defense speaks volumes. Suggest you start listening.
