Rule #76 - No excuses. Play like a champion.

Find a way to get it done.

This team didn't find ways to get first downs, didn't find ways to make plays when it mattered most, couldn't rush the passer, called a timeout with the Dolphins on the ropes (Baker the TE with nobody covering Welker), couldn't get a red zone play off quick enough and rushed a throw that ended with a Vontae Davis interception, and couldn't push the pile on 4th-and-short to get a first down in the red zone.

You can blame it on Belichick for going for it on 4th down instead of taking the points, but champions dig deep and push the pile forward for a first down.  Champions find ways to score in the red zone and make stops on 3rd down.  Champions convert 3rd downs and sustain drives, make tackles, contest every pass, rush the pass rusher, and make defenses pay for doubling two receivers by finding the open man.

While the Patriots were squandering away their game, the Saints came back from 10 points down in the 4th quarter to win in overtime.  The Colts did the same thing last week and the week before.

This Patriots team is not a championship team.

The sad thing is that we were just one play away in 4 out of 5 of our losses from being a championship caliber team. It's not over yet though.

At the end the team played to lose. That sealed the game

Brien as the past offensive play caller at Duke football kind of says it all on offense.
On defense they might as well play 7 linebackers and try to cover the receivers at least they will put a hurt on them after the catch
