    Shane Vereen

It seemed that each time Vereen went on the field today, he produced.  So why not use him until the wheels come off.  But, oh no, in comes Woodhead in the 4thQ

    Re: Shane Vereen

Why blast Woodhead. He was huge on the final 2 drives. Vereen was primarily replaced by Ridley. Without Woodhead they probably do not win. Vereen was good while he was in there though.

Dump off, but Vereen def. needed more touches this game.  He had the 'hot hand'.

You hear Osi call RG3 the best QB he has faced this year?

Woody was 6 for 17 yards, 2.8 a carry. That is pitiful despite what good he may have done. You cannot say what other great things may have happened on his terrible runs if we tried something else.

So far this year he has 46 carries for 3.5 yards a pop. Yuk.

    [/QUOTE]

Yeah. You Giants want to give us a 1st rounder for him. He's available.

so what. The Jets defense came to play. Without Woodhead they do not get the 3 points at the end of regulation to tie it. People assume the Jets defense stinks because the 49ers crusshed them. I thought they looked pretty good today. Solid coverage and solid tackling. i felt the Pats should have used Woodhead more in the passing game. He's been a reliable Jet killer since he got to NE. There were several occasions when he didn't have to block that he was wide open and available for some YAC but Brady threw it deep. I love Brady but he was forcing deep balls today. He was instrumental in the win of course but he does need to play better.
