    Here ya go junior....

Whenever Tom Brady was under the center they were gonna run the ball and whenever he was in shotgun they were gonna pass the ball,” Horton said. “So we told our players, ‘Hey, make the run check if Tom Brady is under center, if he’s in the gun, go to the pass check,’ and they handled it beautifully.”

"So, was Horton correct? After Hernandez was injured with 7:03 left in the first quarter, the Patriots called a pass play on 37 of 46 snaps (80.4 percent) with Brady in shotgun. When Brady was under center, the Patriots called a run on 18 of 29 snaps (62.1 percent)."

Wow! You mean they pass the ball more from the shotgun? Who ever heard such a crazy thing?

Junior. Go find a good soccer forum to haunt. Because you are an ignoramus when it comes to American Football.

In 2012 we ran 1.3 times more per quarter than in 2011, but we had 1.7 more plays per quarter than in 2011.

We actually passed more in 2012 than 2011.

In 2012 we ran 43% of the time. In 2011 we  ran 40% of the time.

    3% - That's once in every 34 plays.

Our running was a little more effective so we ran a little more.

So much for the myth that our balance dramatically changed.

The pats lost SB 46 because of a horrible pass from Brady to Welker. Brady was gun shy from picking himself off the ground all day and rushed the throw.

That's how anybody that is objective and doesn't have a bad case of "man love " for Brady like the Babe does sees it.

Tom Brady  the defense needs to be a lot BETTER this postseason than he was they were for last  5 postseasons.

That sounds like a lot of good final words to me.

That was actually Arizona's, which makes your point even worse since Seattle is bette than Arizona. Here we have an opposing team's Def Coordinator publicly saying what you, I and others have stated here for years, more so over 18 months THROUGH the SB last year, yet we still have some fans who don't see it.

    Absolutely speechless at this point.

If it happens again this postseason, this board may implode. Every single one of the Washers will have to start new board accounts and try to not be noticed.

For the love god, I hope we're not discussing this post playoffs.

    [/QUOTE]

My mistake, you're correct it was the Cardinals.

I guess the Arizona defensive coordinator doesn't have a right to his opinion that the Pats had become predictable either since it differs from the opinion of some posters here.  I'm sure from the comfort of their lazy boy they couldn't tell what plays we were running and he must have just gotten lucky that day.  I'm sure watching hours of game film, looking for offensive tendencies leading up to that week didn't help at all holding us to 18 points.

I will say that this offense didn't really show that it had turned the corner until the first Miami game when we HAD to run against a very stout run defense to run the clock out and were able to.

Regardless of the stumbles this team might have made along the 2012 season both the defense and offense were learning, growing and are built for the post season.  I think we'll see a well balanced approach to the playoffs, we'll run less against the better run stuffing teams and run more against weaker fronts, but either way McDaniel's play calling is a million times better than OBies and we'll go a lot further than getting bounced in the very first playoff game.

The defense has failed to put up much resistent in recent postseason games, however the offense hasn't been playing at that insanely efficient rate that we're used, either.

It's a team sport... I think some blame falls on both sides.

Wrong, you were given the facts over and over and over,  And while TB and the O didn't have their best game at times, they FAR outplayed the D who failed in every single measurable known to man.  (in fact they played worse than their 31st ranking)

    2 INT's

    0 TD's

Yeah that was a banner day for the passing offense... only here does Brady admitting in his own words that he "sucked" and that the defense "bailed us out" not actually mean what was said.

This place is a real tool shed at times...

    Not so fast, my friend!

While the defense hasn't been particularly impressive lately, they saved the offense's bacon last postseason against the Ravens in the AFCCG. I put more blame on the defense with regards to the Super Bowl, however they deserve a lot of credit for their performance in their previous game against Baltimore.

Sterling more did not save TB's azz.  He saved his OWN asz as he gave up the big play that put them in the RZ prior to saving the TD that would have blown the lead with no time remaining.
