I was reading piece on nfl.com and it was about the Tennessee Titans feeling and thinking they have their version of one of our favorite tight end in Rob "The Gronk" Gronkowski (The other Aaron Hernandez, don't want to leave him out of the duo) in Taylor Thompson out of Southern Methodist University. The success of Rob and Jimmy Graham is making other teams around the league try to find these big, physical, and fast pass-catching tight ends (that can also block) that are mismatches for defenses all over the football field. The tight end position is just evolving more and more as the years go by from the days of John Mackey & Jackie Smith from the 60s and 70s, to Kellen Winslow in the 80s (I can't think of any other tight ends right away, fill free to name them), to Shannon Sharpe, Brent Jones, Tony Gonzalez of the 90s, to Antonio Gates, Heath Miller, to Jimmy Graham our very two in Rob Gronkowski & Aaron Hernandez of today. "The Gronk" and Jimmy Graham are the standards right now.
