    The key to success

Im telling you guys, the reason why the pats didnt live up to expectations last season was 1. somewhat because of brady coming off injury, but 2. OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR   think about it...all of the talent was there. Everybody was drooling over the roster before the season started because of all the potential. Those guys were seasoned veterans we added too, not unproven rookies. We all knew what they were capable of. And then to top it off, there comes josh mcdaniels with his new team and they did surprisingly well and even beat the pats. Ide like to think it was because of his superior playcalling. We need someone next season who can bring back a mcdaniels-style offense back to this team. Its still the same dedicated core who had the record setting 2007 year. Theres no reason why they shouldnt be as explosive.
Also, Im a big fan of Bill not hiring a defensive coordinator, the mans got guts

Problem was offensive personnel ... no split end, no flanker who could sub for Randy, declining tackles with only one backup (Vollmer).  Oh, and 3 over the hill running backs plus one running back who is playing just not to get hurt.

    Re: The key to success

How about this thought... did any of you think the Pats played like they wanted to WIN every game??  Just just didn't seem to have that urgency.  With the former core, now dearly departed, the team got ticked off when they lost and played even harder the next game.  This year they seem to have treated the next game like it was JUST a next game!  As for the defense, how many " whoah!" hits have we seen?  Lots of arm tackling, just try to knock the player down.  The D needed the nastiness of Rodney to play tough.

    Just my two cents!
