thrid round pick trade it for Morrison?

I'm not sure if anyone else posted this, but the patriots picked up a third round pick. I can see them trading that for Morrison who was tendered at a third. imgaine him with Mayo? reincarnation of Bruschi and Johnson? thoughts?

why would you do that? they are going to let him walk now. anyway this team has much bigger needs. like another backup CB.

They aren't going to let a third year player who has over 100 tackles in each year walk. He also just signed a tender  you clearly don' know what your talking about.

As they just drafted a replacemeent...they should be anxious to trade him now.  Maybe you can get him for that 4th...or maybe a package deal with picks and players both ways?

What if they get Morrison for the 4th and Umenyoira who is said to cost a #3 for the 3rd....would you say they improved the pass rush?  Fact is either would, both would be a substantial ungrade. NYG also drafted a DE so Osi is definitely available.

I think since Morrison is tendered as a third round pick, it would take a third round pick to acquire him. But Al is freakin crazy so you never know. Osi would be nice but he is more of a 4-3 guy

dont think u can trade anything but a 3rd for morrison because he hasnt signed the tender.. if he did then we could offer something else for him

How about offer a 4th or 5th RD pick and Adalius Thomas for K. Morrison. That might be enough to do it. The Pats would have Mayo, Morrison as starters with McKenzie as a solid back up. They can then move Guyton over to OLB to take advantage of his speed. If McKenzie doesn't prove to be a good backup, Guyton can always be shifted back. In essence, Guyton could become a supersub and be the primary backup at each LB spot.

This isn't true because the deadline to sign other teams' restricted free agents has already passed.  Oakland now has exclusive rights. He can only sign with them, but then they could trade him for anything they see fit.  3rd round pick would have been Oakland's compensation if he signed an offer sheet with another team and they declined to match.
