I don't agree with him. He was solid for his one year, then suffered a neck injury that, to be honest, I think scared the football out of him. And who can blame him? Even momentary paralysis must be a nightmare that you'd never forget.

But Big Ben Coates! Maybe my favortie all time player. Is it just history warping my memories, or was be bigger than any TE I see playing nowadays? Except maybe Gronk, same number too....giggidy!

I am surpirsed that I am the only one with Bledsoe on the all time list.  He (along with Parcells) saved this franchise from another two decades of being just another NFL bottom feeder.  Plus, he was a prety darn good qb.

The days of Brady vs. Bledsoe are over.  People need to let it go.  Both were (are) extremely important to very existense this franchsie.  More so than say someone like Steve Nelson (as great as he was).

I find it interesting that some posters feel the need to justify their picks. For instance, going into how "good" the players are at their positions. It sounds as if some of you feel a player has to play at a high leveel to be considered a "favorite".

    1. Troy Brown
    2. Steve Grogan
    3. Andre Tippett
    4. Stanley Morgan
    5. Theodore Bruschi

Current IS much tougher which is why I asked.  So many new faces and literally no identity beyond Brady.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Patriots (not named Brady)

    CURRENT:

Mayo - Nice segway from Bruschi
    Welker - Mr Dependable
Faulk - Would do anythignt o help the team win
Tate - Love to see him in the open field with the ball and a head start
Gronkowski - Nice to see a TE with skills to run, catch, block AND play hard 100% of the time

    ALL TIME:

Hannah - Best OL to ever play, in my opinion
Jim Nance - Moved the sticks when needed, with a decent OL in front of him
Steve Nelson - Came to play every game, every down, every year
Mike Maynes - Still can understand how the Pats messed that one up.
Tedy Bruschi - Heart, desire, AND motivation all in one compact package.

This post illustrates my previous point perfectly. "Favorite" does NOT mean the same thing as "best".
