I did not realize boxing was that lucrative these days.  Wow.

This list also reminds us what happens in a sport with no salary cap and fully guaranteed contracts.  Lot of bloated MLB salaries on that list.

Very interesting... It looks as though this is based purely on their earnings from their craft with no endorsements included.

Does anyone know what felix hernandez contract staus is?

It definitely includes endorsements.  Otherwise Woods would not be anywhere near the top.

Clarification:  It does include endorsements.  I keep cnn.com/money on at work, found it there and traced it back.

If endorsements are included then Vincent jackson at 15 is amazing I didn't think he had that kind of cache.

One year wonder.  The signing bonus from his most recent deal accounts for his position.  He won't be on the list next year.

True, but if you have to be a one year wonder at something, being one of the highest paid is not a bad thing. Not at all.

All this and Floyd signed a contract with Showtime for $200m. And he bets on himself in all his fights. Great boxer, amatuer person. I doubt he racks up that much endorsement money. Also promotes his own stable of fighters (Broner et al) which should increase his earnings.

Well a 37 million signing bonus will do that for you.  Unreal how much money these guys get paid.
