Trade day Bait

    Re: Trade day Bait

Only guys with legit trade VALUE (because while you may want to get rid of AD and Maroney nobody else wants them) can be traded.

Sanders has some value, as does light.  However both of their values took a hit this afternoon when Big D released Flozel Adams and Ken Hamlin.  Why would people trade for sanders when hamlin is on the free agent market.  As for those of you who think light is worth a 3rd, Gaithers, the Bal left tackle who is, by all measures a top 5-10 LT in the game is only tendered at a 2nd.  The difference between Matty light and Jared Gathiers is much larger than the diff between a 2nd and a 3rd...

    Re: Trade day Bait

LT and S are areas of need for the Chef's.  If McCoy is on the board maybe we package both Sanders and Light along with our #22 and probably our 4th this year and/or a 3rd next to get him at #5.

If we trade light could we be the ones to sign Jared Gaithers?  Jared, at 6'9, is the tallest player in the NFL and a quality LT.  BB likes his tackles tall, Vollmer is 6-8, Lavior is 6-7 and even light and kazur are 6-4.  He is tendered at a second rounder...  So essentially we would be upgrading our T spot, allowing Vollmer to ease into the RT spot and leaving Kazur to back up both spots (Vollmer can slide to LT if needed) and making a huge move for the DE of the future we need.

To recap this move would land us with Jared Gaithers playing LT and McCoy at DE with the 5th pick.  We would imo have to give up Light and Sanders along with our 1st this yr (#22), a 3 next yr and/or our 4th this year to KC.  We would also loose one of our seconds to Bal.  Big up grades for us on both sides of the line, which is where bb likes to build his teams from.  We would still have 2 second rounders to get younger at LB and maybe grab a TE or WR, in addition to the elite DE we needed and a just turned 25 year old LT on the rise.  This would be a whole new look team with younger with elite talent on both sides of the line.

Remember it may have been scotty p who liked to trade down in the draft....

To move up to the 5th spot to grab the Sanchise last year it cost the JETS jets jets jets the 17th and 52nd over all picks.

So with #'s 22 & 44/47/52 we should be looking good to swing a deal at this point.

Would anyone really be upset if we used #'s 22 and even (worse case) 44 to go grab McCoy to play DE?  Plus I think BB likes to shock everyone once in a while and this would really do it...  He loves to spend big picks on d-lineman considering them the least likely to bust and worthy spots to spend the big guaranteed dough of a top ten pick.
