    Unsung Hero - Ryan Wendell

Patriots C Ryan Wendell led the NFL in playing time during the 2012 regular season, playing 1,231 offensive snaps and 148 on special teams.

Wendell started all 16 games at center for the Pats, who often used a speed-no-huddle offense that increased their play count. Wendell is a former UDFA out of Fresno State. Jaguars SS Dawan Landry led all defensive players in 2012 snaps played. Ravens S Sean Considine led the NFL in special teams snaps.

Thank you Ryan, and good luck in the playoffs.  Keep Tommy clean!

Wow, thanks for the info. The best part is during the game you never hear his name which for linemen isa good thing!!!

It is guys like Wendell who are overlooked when judging how well BB is a GM and puts together rosters.

Not to mention the guy went undrafted.  BB might not be the best 1-2 round drafter, but I am not sure there is a better GM at rounds 4-7.  He finds value in everything he does.  Not one thing overlooked or under appreciated.

He did a fantastic job this season, making Koppen expendable...and Koppen is starting for Denver.
