Who else is totally stoked about Jr. Seau

I know he's old but I love the guy and he always makes everyone better around him.

Even if he is just a situational guy for the pats this year I am just so excited about the affect he could have on some of the younger guys.

As if getting welker and wilfork being back and a ravens win wasnt enough

    Great weekend for the Pats!

By NFL standards he is def old but

heck if he can get run over by a 2000lb bull (last week) and get right up without it phasing him

Im sure he still got some game left for the nfl

I am on the fence. On one hand I love Seau. He is a true leader and knows football. On the other hand, our defense looks really good right now. We have gotten younger and faster.

I think maybe a Seau every now and then going into the game is good, but leave the majority of the snaps to the younger players..

The old man is a very good run stuffer. We'll be using him more often in that role.

I don't know, he doesn't look so good trying to outrun bulls. Kidding! Glad to have his leadership on board!

As a lifelong Jets fan I'm"totally stoked"that the pats keep bringing in old retread LBers.
Are any of the draft choices that the so called genius drafted playing any significant roles for the pats or will BB just keep bringing in old guys?

The reason I ask is because I never watch any NE team play unless of course they are playing one of the New York teams.

    Oh and ......How are ya!?

Smells a little desperate to me.  What does this say about Mayo's progress?

I have no problem with the Seau pickup, and I'm glad too see him back.  Mostly because the Pats now have a much younger defense all around.

Re: Who else is totally stoked about Jr. Seau

It is definitely a situational move, predicated by Mayo's injury. He will provide depth and a little stouter run stopper when they go 4-3. With the added speed of moving Guyton outside when Junior is in the middle, it allows Junior to stay home up the gut.
It also allows them to take their time getting Mayo back. Junior's role will shift more to providing depth when Mayo comes back.
