The first thing he should do is get ride of Adam Kaufman.  He appears to have no clue about sports. How did this guy get hired by the Globe?  He would fit in better with the hysterics at the Boston Herald.

I thrilled there is a new owner with money to spend, but why a Boston Pro-Sports Team Owner.  This is a definite conflict of interest.  In a season when the Red Sox are in fourth place in their division, instead of reading what the Red Sox could do to improve their team, we will read "Red Sox are not in last place"

The entire Boston Globe is worth about 60% of Dustin Pedroia.

Trying to wrap my head around the fact that the entire Boston Globe could be had for less than the cost of one John Lackey.

John Henry is going to buy the Boston Globe at half the price he paid Carl Crawford 2 1/2 years ago. Not a bad deal

He may give them a one time amnesty, since he used to be a part owner of the NYY.

Can't go that far back to copy and past it, and I wont do it justice, but last night on live chat Exam asked if Pike could be John Henry. He  bought the globe, after being exiled from BDC chatzy frat chat pushed him over the edge. Laughing

Unlikely, since JH wouldn't waste all that valuable time; not at the Bill Gates level mind you, where it's been discussed it's not worth it for him to bend down and pick up a $100 bill.

Non-sports thread topics could be affected as well.

Re: Mr. John Henry is now the owner of the Boston Globe

Look, this will come out sooner or later, so you might as well all know now. Mr. John Henry is Pike.  Hes become dissatisfied with the way the BDC forum is being run, so like Bruce Wayne, decided to just buy the whole thing and have his way. Being cut out of the game threads by the chatzy fraternity was the last straw. He calls it "the chatzy betrayal", and it was the impetus for setting in motion the purchase of The Globe. Why he spends so much time on the BDC forum when he has a wife as pretty as Linda is anyone's guess, but to each his own. Meanwhile, look for big time changes to the forum soon.....More to come.......
