    4/4 lineup prediction against Pettitte

Sox are facing a lefty again tonight and I think it's going to be little bit different from when we faced Sabathia on OD.

    Ellsbury CF

    Nava LF

    Pedroia 2B

    Gomes DH

    Napoli 1B

    Middlebrooks 3B

    Victorino RF

    Ross C

    Iglesias SS

Gomes has successful history against Pettitte and Farrell might go with Gomes at #4 spot instead of early struggling Napoli.  Salty might get a rest tonight even though he was cruising past two games.  Go Sox!

IMO NYY are making a mistake starting Pettite in this weather.

It's going to be chilly again.

There wont be any angry Yankee fans left by then.

it's a mistake starting OMAR period. i heard one of the stipulations of his contract is that the NYY have to provide him calcium supplements so he doesn't get osteoperosis. Also early bird specials.

Pettitte will be done by the fifth inning.   LOL

Some payback for 2006 when the Yankees swept a five-game series in Fenway.

Nava should not bat 2nd, and probably won't even start. I think Ross gets the nod vs the lefty, even though Salty has a hot bat and had a day off between game 1 and 2. I'd go with this:

    Ellsbury CF

    Victorino RF

    Pedroia 2B

    Gomes DH

    Napoli 1B

    Middlebrooks 3B

    Bradley LF

    Ross C

    Iglesias SS

(I could see flipping Naps and Gomes: no argument there)

I gotta agree with you steven. You could clearly see that CC was not able to get comfortable and I'm sure it had alot to do with the cold. Andy is also a warm weather pitcher. I as a baseball fan am equally concerned that guys on both our teams could get hurt or pull something in this kind of cold. not sure what the game time temps are supposed to be but I know it will be pretty chilly out there. I got a funny feeling that Joe is gonna be biting his nails tonight for sure.

I'll be more happy if Farrell decides to trust on his rookie and starts him in LF.  Farrell should have a lot better defense in OF and speed.

Forecasts say gametime temp would be about 50 and dropping down to 45 at the end of game.  It isn't too bad I guess.

strongly agree watching past two games.  JBJ might have saved few runs duing those two games.  If Gomes started LF, we might had different results.

that is good news. I played college and some park league when I was a youngun. I can remember loading up on atomic bomb on my right shoulder cause I pitched and last nite was no night for playing baseball. 50's to high 40's is much better than how cold it was toward the end of the game last night.

Yup, I play amature ball and when we have a night game in 40's and there's wind blowing, it's no fun.

I said I was OK with Naps and Gomes flipped, I was just curious about why you copied my post with out giving a citation, or did you get verbal permission like Joe "did". (Was i sleeping?)

I thought 2 game sample sizes were enough to make big changes.
