a moment of silence and a little prayer!

I can't believe that today is the 12th anniversary of the tragedy of 9/11.

my thoughts and prayers are to those familys that lost loved ones that day.

Hard to believe the passage of time.  My boys were in 3rd and 1st grades that day.  They are now a college junior and a college freshman.  The older has some memory of that day, the younger one really doesn't remember anything about it at all.

The following poem was sent to me by a native born Italian who visits America but still lives in Italia. As you will tell, he loves America.  I was so moved by his unexpected email that I wished to share it:

Say to the trumpeter,  "do not only play
                        'TAPS' at Ground Zero today".

He must play songs that tell of Heroism,  of Liberty, of love for America and for Humanity !

Still don't know what he was doing while our men were left to fend for themselves and for some reason that information is being kept a secret. Sad for those men and their families. They deserve justice and answers.

Having said that I agree that this thread should be a tribute to the fallen of both of the sad days in September.
