A New Era- Derek Jeter is Among the Easy out and Jed Lowrie Is Hitting like a Young Jeter

The Era of Derek Jeter beating the Red Sox and the rest of the
league with high average and clutch hitting is over... Derek Jeter
    (219) is one the easiest out in the league right now. Derek Jeter
is now incapable of hitting the ball in the air. In other words,
Jeter`s era of dominance is behind us.

Derek Jeter is turning 37 in June, and Jeter has no chance
of defying the odds... nobody holds off ages for ever. Kevin
Long is a great hitting coach, but can he do miracles Do
    you believe in miracles?

It`s not fun to watch Jeter at the plate these days, it`s like
watching Jose Canseco in a boxing match.

On the other hand, welcome to the Lowrie`s era. Jed Lowrie is
not a future HOF. He won`t never be as good as Jeter was, but
Jed Lowrie is currently hitting like a Young Derek Jeter.

I repeat: Jed Lowrie is not a future HOF, but he is outplaying
Derek Jeter right now. He is hitting like a young Derek Jeter.

Jed Lowrie has a good future ahead of him. He is a good clutch
hitter... and is only 27 years old. Jed is almost 10 years younger
    than Jeter.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is very safe to say that the New York
Yanks ha the most expensive SS in the AL East... but the Sox
Nation finally have the best overall SS in the AL East. The
    Facts are there.

    Thanks for Reading...

    Smiley Beni

    who is an easier out

    Jeter .219
    Crawford .149
    Ellsbury .182
    Youk .218
    Salty .194
    Varitek .050
    Cameron .167
    McDonald .143

Actually the sox as a team are hitting .231.........which is just barely above the over the hill washed up short stop.  So what does it mean if an entire team is batting about the same as a washed up over the hill 37 year old shortstop?

I hope you will respond this time Mr. Beni

Jed Lowrie is not a future HOF.

Isn't this prediction a little premature?  Unlike the rest of your post.

[QUOTE]As a  devout Yankees  fan, I entered the season excited to watch the captain Derek Jeter get his 3,000th hit, and become the first Yankee to reach the milestone. After a disappointing 2010 season Jeter was supposed to bounce back this year, but so far he's struggled, and looked uncomfortable at the plate. I do think Jeter has suddenly forgotten how to hit major league pitchers, after doing it well for 16 years. Facts are facts and the reality of the situation is indeed disturbing.

Struggling at the plate isn`t the only problem... but what about
    Jeter`s new 4 years deal contract ?

Jed "Williams" Lowrie. He's already an AS SS, destined for greatness. Has the goatie beard, reads up on how his brothers with the NFLPA are making out in trying to get to ownership books. Perfect MA Senator for Ted's old seat.

We're fine as the Yanks are in first place.  Hey Smiley I will be at the Sox/Brewers game up in Fenway June 18th.  My buddy works up in Boston so we're going to cheer on Prince Fielder.....you should come say hi as we pregame and bring your alter egos.  Have you been to any Sox games this season?

I thought that the thread was about Jeter and not Kennedy's old Senate seat in Mass. or the NFLPA? What do those topics have to do about Jeter or even baseball. Perhaps this is what the "Hijacking" picture was referring to.  Surprising that LMR failed to see the connection.

Is this beat reporter a troll?

    What's good:
Colon, of course. Curtis Granderson, who continues to whack lefties (second inning triple off Brett Cecil) and righties with equal disrespect (eighth-inning home run off Frank Francisco, No. 6 on the season, tying him with Mark Teixeira for the team, and AL lead). Teixeira had three doubles and scored two runs.

What's not so good: Derek Jeter, who grounded out four times, including an inning-ending double play in the sixth. Jeter's average is now .219.

Ok then, bring mickeyinthebronx back to the topic, summon jessey-eric and jete along with photoshop cameo from zac, let's have a couple of "unreal" Red Sox fans like MikeNagy and flapjack chime in, and you and kimsaysthis can chastise the rest.

Back to our regularly scheduled Smiley thread poking fun at Jeter's age and poor performance in April while the Yankees sit atop the division.

Do I see the connection now, Glummy?
