    Re: AGon in RF--again

AGON to play right tomorrow is the latest rumor.  I say go for it.  I'm not worried about an injury.  People say he doesn't have to range far while playing at first base.  Not true.  I've seen him sprint after foul pops down the right field line, sometimes braving the first base wall and fans trying to get a souvenir.  He'll be ok and if they get an early lead, maybe bring Cameron in for D by the sixth. (with Agon moving to first, of course)

No chance AGon has a higher risk in playing right over 1st, if he's told not to dive for balls or breaking into sprints for balls. For most hitters, he simply needs to play deep and towards the line, with Reddick/Cameron and Bellsbury shaded towards the gaps and well off the LF line.

Why would you be? You aren't the one playing in the field.

Not having Crawford's .275 OBP has really hurt this team this year.

A lot of bad things can happen in RF, that simply can't happen at first base. I'm stunned that Theo has approved this. Much better to have Mac hit 5th, AGon play first, Youk 3rd, and rest Ortiz until they come home from Houston. Tito had it correct, I don't understand why he has capitulated just because the team has lost 5 of it's last 6 games.

    Varitek was sensational, tonight.
