Probably at 3rd base.  He'll outgrow SS, maybe corner OF.  The guy handles the bat and knows how hit the away stuff already.  That was a difficult pitch he lined to right for a base hit.  It's early but he looks like the real deal.

He will be the UI the rest of the year and probably into the playoffs. Unless Middy or Drew struggle for an extended time, Bogey will remain the UI. Next year is obviosly a different story. He also should remain at SS for another year or 2 before he possibly outgrows or is a better fit somewhere else. JMHO.

hopefully he actually gets to start more game, he should get some starts at ss, stephen drew has been pretty average so why not give boegy a shot? we wont know how ready he is if he spends every game on the bench. his defense is pretty close to drews, but boegarts offers us way more offensive upside.

    +1.

his value is probably highest on this team at SS. Middy at 3rd with cecchini in the wings. You gotta go forward thinking that one of them is going to be your 3Bman of the future but if Xander is better suited for 3rd base you can always take solace in the fact that first base is open for one of them to man and potentially LF for Xander or more likely Cecchini.

Drew has been one of the better SSs in the league this year.  He's been among the top defensive SSs and his offensive numbers are above positional league average. Boggy could play better than that but i think it's pretty unlikely. We can't look to him to be a "savior" because frankly there isn't a need for one and that's unwarranted pressure to put on a him. He could certainly help us out but his play isn't going to make or break our season. I see this move as more of a long term one that short term.
