    In response to torgorocks' comment:

I still believe the SOX will finish the season in 3rd place. It's obvious the Orioles and Rays are the more balanced teams. The SOX BP will be the death of them.

Part of the problem is that the Sox starters barely ever go more than 6-7 innings which puts a lot of stress on the BP... look at how deep Price and Moore have gone for the Rays... rarely do you see that with the Sox staff.....

Rarely going to win with Pedroia 0 for 9 and Els 0 for 8 in the series so far...

It might seem that way but the numbers say it's about even...coming into tonight Sox relievers had 299 innings in 102 games and Rays relievers had 294 innings in 101 games.  Rays starters have been rolling lately though.

Something that I feel is that this team overachieved this year big time. They are not going to make any deals at trade dealine time. Henry is already hinting that it is going to be difficult to trade. If this team makes the playoffs and that is a big "IF" they are not even in a class with the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays and for that matter the Baltimore Orioles.

They may have overacheived but to say they are in the same class as those other teams is not correct imo... TB has better pitching for sure but the Sox lineup is better by a lot.... the Orioles are where they are mostly because of the year that Davis is having....talk about an overacheiver!  Rangers probably are the best of the bunch but their lineup is nothing what it was a year or two years ago losing Naps and Hamilton and they could easily lose Cruz
