    RHP Esmil Rogers (5-7, 4.47) vs. LHP Jon Lester (14-8, 3.75) 7:10 p.m., NESN.

Put all lefties against him!!  He pitched well in his last two starts against Boston but got a no decision.

I strongly think that Boston want to go out there tonite, and bomb hiim so they can celebrate the AL East divisional title tonite!!

Chance has a sense of humor. Red Sox look to clinch vs Esmil Rogers - essentially, Blue Jays' return on John Farrell

John Farrell said Ryan Dempster will pitch out of the bullpen for the rest of the season. Not in long relief

    Interesting.  Thanks.

Bradley is starting again because Vic is still hurting.  I hope last night continues tonight--two good hits.

Definitely would be preferable to win tonight to clinch the division, as opposed to clinching via a Rays loss.  Same result , but more satisfying.

    Stabbed by Foulke.

Middlebrooks is pathetic at bat, and not much better as a fielder.  Look for Bogaerts to steal the 3B job from him right out of spring training next year.  He consistently gets fooled with the outside pitch in the dirt that he couldn't reach with a broom handle.  Totally guessing up there.  In the field, I saw him miss a simple popup to foul territory last night that didn't even make it into the firs5 row.  Tonight,  another lazy ground ball that he had to rush to get to and E5'd that one also.  He's got nice pop when he runs into one, but... he's jus not good enough to be an everyday player.  Bring on Bogaerts.

That is why Middy will always play third and suggesting he play first is just crazy.

Sure, did you just see that last play?  I missed the error you are referring to, which inning did that happen?

    [/QUOTE]

Yeah I saw the error he made and the nice play he made but did you also just see the throw to third on that steal? He should have caught that and the runner is out... his fielding is awful and his hitting isnt much better.... id rather have X at third and drew at ss...

Fourth game in a row of three runs or less.  Looks like we'll need another outstanding pitching performance to win this game.  Same ole formula:  don't take advantage of early scoring opportunities by hitting into double plays and not getting clutch hits, then not hit at all in the late innings and cling to a precarious lead.
